    Currently in Thailand (Takua Pa). People enjoy a simple life with minimal government intervention.
    The ‘west’ has fallen.
    You are correct Les. England is beautiful on a Summer day, but not worth living in anymore. Not to mention the situation in Ukraine and the bottomless money-pit which politicians are funnelling millions of tax pounds to. Best wishes.

      Thanks for that, yes they seem to have a money tree when ever they want but ordinary folk will never see it. Bad politicians who are being paid by us whom they are to protect and treat us with contempt.

    Hi mate great video again. In Australia the finance reporters are saying it won't be long before paying with cash will carry an interest charge like a credit card. Sounds crazy but I am sure its all about the tax office wanting control over all of your spending and to stop cash jobs. WTF is going on with the world. I think you are in the best place hopefully flying under the radar a bit. Regarding Wise, i receive business payments from Europe every month into Australia, I am moving the payments to Wise, I reckon it will save me around $400 a month

      For me cash is King, most of the people I know pay with the app, not me always cash, I feel the pain taking cash out of my wallet not the same pressing a button. Thanks for your comment.

    Almost 4 hours of recording 💪 Tax situation is even worse in Thailand, less than 6% of population pay personal income Tax here and higher Tax bracket than Singapore, Malaysia or the US. How can the country attract talents or company to setup here? You pay high Tax for nothing, no pension 😕

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are trying to work this out, where do they get the money the country need by taxing so few.

    Les, a few people asked about getting the 90 day retirement visa before leaving home country and I have done it online many times to avoid having to go to Jomtien for 30 day extension. I always stay exactly 90 days - twice a year. Very easy online for £60 fee and they have now reduced the number of documents to upload to just 4 or 5. They have even dropped the requirement to show 90 days insurance cover. Presumably an agent would charge less because you already have the 90 day visa?

    So Les, one can set up a standing order with Wise, - UK bank account £'s to Wise and then from Wise into one's Thai bank account in Baht, is that correct and best method?

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is exactly what I do standing order to wise then I decide when I want the cash sending.

    As you know Les in the UK there is the dreaded Standing Charge for both electricity and gas to contend with. So, while I am in Thailand for 6 months every year I pay 6 x £21 = £126 for zero gas and electricity consumption 😂
