There is nothing wrong with crying when a song touches your heart in such a profound way. You know its real when it effects you like this. This song is my numero uno in all of their discography............. "So far away" and "The last" from his first mix tape are songs that shook me to the core and on that day when I heard them for the very first time I instantly knew that Yoongi was "my guy". Until that day I was flip flopping with my fancy back and forth or even thought I was OT7. His mix tape floored me and changed my perception of him forever. His voice, his message, his music writing and production skills, his passion, his real and at times almost brutally straight forward lyrics, his honesty and moral codex, his no BS attitude, his outlook on life and street wise approach towards living ......all insanely rare in this world and so much respect earning. Last but not least, I have to mention his courage Who else out there rips his heart open and let it bleed for everyone to see like him ? He is and always will be my ultimate bias even though I love and respect all 7 and appreciate them as a mix of characters and talents. Nobody and nothing else out there ( not just in BTS, not just in Kpop, I mean overall) does feel the way as Min Yoongi does. His music is cathartic and for all people who have lived and experienced their own share of struggle and darkness he is a god sent gift. No words can describe how much I respect and love this guy. Her version doesn't have all of the ad libs that this one has and it doesn't have the words "first love" being repeated in it like this one has. Her vocals are gorgeous but, to me, this version is more powerful because of those additions.
I love the original version with Suran (her voice is beautiful and I enjoy the instrumentation a bit more), but this will always be my favorite version. Jin and JK’s voices go so so well together and Jin doesn’t often get the chance to show off his vocal prowess and ad libs in other BTS songs, so this holds a special place in my heart. Also, I would highly recommend listening through the entire AGUST D mixtape from beginning to end because it is such an emotional roller coaster. I feel like Suga let's us in on his life story bit by bit in his songs. They may hold several meanings but this could absolutely describe his feelings wanting to pursue his dream of making music despite his parents wishes, being dirt poor when he decided to do so (he's told us before that he often had to choose between busfare and dinner) but he prevailed in the end. This seems especially plausible to me with the references to First Love.

This is one of those songs that bring my spirits back up but make me emotional too. When you feel like surviving in life is weighing you down but you know you have purpose too! It' gets me back on track with what I want my life to look like and helps me focus on what's important. I love Yoongi's voice. It's so expressive. I completely agree with you. Suga has a really powerful and emotional voice and he pours a lot of raw emotion into these songs. With songs like Intro: Never Mind and this one you can literally feel what kind of emotions and messages he's trying to convey, without having to read the lyrics. It's also why Never Mind is my favorite BTS song and So Far Away my favorite Agust D song. The lyrics are relatable on another level and they motivate me so much. I rarely cry because of a song, but both songs got me crying. Suga really is an incredible lyricist and producer.

Y’all haven’t dwlet into Jin vocally if you think thats to high for Jin. Jin is said to have the widest range among the vocal line (with v) while also being the most critically acclaimed member. He’s a tenor and his voice sits right in the middle but he’s comfortable switching into higher ( lower) registers. He actually belts out high notes with his chest instead of using his head voice like most people would do :)

Yoongi's songs really have this thing where it makes you feel things. His songs really made me feel I am not alone. Some days, if i want to feel extra comforted, i listen to Joon's mixtape, "mono.". You start listening to mono as someone sad and you end listening to it feeling better. cant wait for you to discover the songs there! I'm pretty sure you will love mono. its a complete 180 from RM because mono is a mixtape about Joon forgiving himself and letting go of his anger.

when i first listened to this song it was on Spotify. i didn't know the lyrics of the song. i added it on my playlist. when i heard suran's voice i was captivated but what really made me add it to the playlist was yoongi's rap, even played it on loop w my headphone on in my bed for many days. it felt like i was stab by a sword right through my heart. I didn't just teared up but i literally cried. i did not even bother to for its lyrics..i just happened to know what the song means when a youtuber reacted to it back in 2019.

This song, the original version, I heard without seeing the lyrics and cried. When I saw the lyrics, I felt like I’d found someone who understood my struggles and it helped me to gather myself up and to keep moving on in life.

I completely agree with you. Suga has a really powerful and emotional voice and he pours a lot of raw emotion into these songs. With songs like Intro: Never Mind and this one you can literally feel what kind of emotions and messages he's trying to convey, without having to read the lyrics. It's also why Never Mind is my favorite BTS song and So Far Away my favorite Agust D song. The lyrics are relatable on another level and they motivate me so much. I rarely cry because of a song, but both songs got me crying. Suga really is an incredible lyricist and producer.

Y’all haven’t dwlet into Jin vocally if you think thats to high for Jin. Jin is said to have the widest range among the vocal line (with v) while also being the most critically acclaimed member. He’s a tenor and his voice sits right in the middle but he’s comfortable switching into higher ( lower) registers. He actually belts out high notes with his chest instead of using his head voice like most people would do :)

Yoongi's songs really have this thing where it makes you feel things. His songs really made me feel I am not alone. Some days, if i want to feel extra comforted, i listen to Joon's mixtape, "mono.". You start listening to mono as someone sad and you end listening to it feeling better. cant wait for you to discover the songs there! I'm pretty sure you will love mono. its a complete 180 from RM because mono is a mixtape about Joon forgiving himself and letting go of his anger.

when i first listened to this song it was on Spotify. i didn't know the lyrics of the song. i added it on my playlist. when i heard suran's voice i was captivated but what really made me add it to the playlist was yoongi's rap, even played it on loop w my headphone on in my bed for many days. it felt like i was stab by a sword right through my heart. I didn't just teared up but i literally cried. i did not even bother to for its lyrics..i just happened to know what the song means when a youtuber reacted to it back in 2019.

this version of the song was the first agust d song i heard and it made me cry. for me personally, jk's voice is powerful while jin's voice is emotional, together they perfectly match yoongi's harsh yet vulnerable rap & lyricism. i find it difficult to put in words how this track makes me feel but there's this unexplainable feeling of falling but feeling liberated at the same time and the emotions get so overwhelming my heart physically hurts. an underrated masterpiece.
