Good video, sorry to hear that you had two crashes. Also your honesty. I had a accident just over 7 weeks ago. My knee is still not back to normal, but not painful anymore. However it has not put me off and I recently had my bike repaired and I was so pleased my bike wasn't a right off. I was rear-ended by van and the driver ran away and left his van behind. The driver was uninsured and it cost me £3,000. I did have a big smile when I went out on my bike for the first time in 7 weeks. A friend of mine offered to go out with me. We went out on some wet roads. I would like to do a track day with IAMs.

Hey Mike, great vid, so its been a little over a year since I last come off my bike (first crash) due to a random pedestrian running out on me while they were crossing the road (typical London folk) I had all of 240ishkg of machine land on my ankle and could not walk properly for at least 6months even after thesio and changing a few bikes later as in going for something lighter/ easy to handle, in hindsight I could of proceeded with caution which is what I do now when I am out riding but I still feel my confidence is shot and really struggling to enjoy the ride again so much goes through my head, with regards to traffic, pedestrians and general road conditions, I’ve finally got my dream bike Suzuki GSX-S 750 and barely put any miles on it since owning her and as soon as I want to ride all it takes is to look at the crappy road condition which than leads to me having an excuse to avoid riding, I feel awful as I am really considering selling and hanging up riding for good which sucks but can’t help to shake that feeling, I keep on telling myself it will get better but fear it won’t I dunno anymore........anyway stay safe and well brother

@@talbi89 ah that’s sounds like a nasty experience. Always the problem within london and busy cities. Have you gone out the city to quieter areas? Maybe you’d enjoy that without having to lookout for thousands of people. Just badgers and deer there! We all make excuses on a bad weather day! Don’t worry about that! Maybe try a track day, or look into some riding courses maybe that will help with your confidence in spotting a potential hazard etc. sometimes we just get caught out though and there’s not much we can do! Best of luck though, I hope you get back on the bike and enjoy it soon.

@@BikeLikeMike92thanks for the message back, I'm definitely considering some further training might get another perspective which can only help I suppose, I have left the city and it's probably the only time I can get some sort of enjoyment 😂

How about the ride safe course. I do remember a time I was out with some friends returning from the Ace cafe and on the M25 we all went through what believed to be diesel. We were Lucky we went through it without any accidents. I have been riding for 20 years but I passed my test in 2011. This was the first accident, but I have some really supportive friends that offered to ride with me. I am hoping to get injury compensation fingers crossed. I do lean into corners, it does keep the tyres rounded. I am trying not to let the white van man that rear-ended me ruin my riding experience in the future
