PHE PHE WATERFALL :
The Phe Phe Falls, also known as the Paradise Waterfall, is a stunning two-tier waterfall located in the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya, India.
The Phe Phe Falls is situated near the village of Shkentalang, about 80 km from Shillong and 20 km from the town of Jowai.
Phe Phe Falls is a hidden gem in Meghalaya.The waterfall gets its name from the Jaintia word "Phe Phe" which means "paradise". The location of the falls, surrounded by lush green hills, gives it a serene and paradisiacal feel.
The best time to visit the Phe Phe Falls is from September to April when the water flow is consistent. However, even during the drier months, the waterfall remains an impressive sight.
To reach the falls, one can hire a cab or sumo from Shillong or Jowai and then trek for about 30 minutes from the campsite located next to the waterfall.
KRANGSURI WATERFALL :
Krang Suri Waterfall in Meghalaya is an another beautiful and famous waterfall. It is located in the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya, about 91 km from Shillong . It features a placid river that suddenly drops, creating a curtain of flowing turquoise water over a cave. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green vegetation and offers magnificent viewpoint. Krang Suri is often compared to the Jungle Book setting, with its picturesque natural surroundings. The best time to visit is during the daytime, especially in the post-monsoon season.
