i wish i had a tiny bit of the creativity Butch has... i spend HOURS trying to come up with music that often never materializes, and it just seems like he sweats and oozes talent and creativity. Very inspiring video.
Butch is an all timer. The guy has more talent in the tip of his pinky finger than 99% of artists out there. Getting a glimpse into his process is awesome.
I worked with him as an assistant back in the early 2000s at his ruby red studios in the atl. This is what it was like - Just him seeming (on the surface) to mess around/try stuff and it always coming out genius… All while goofing off and having fun. Most of it just collects digital dust and never saw the light of day, but it was amazing to be a part of none the less.
It was so awesome to see the process Butch Walker uses to create and build a song. I was so lucky to see Marvelous 3 open up for Collective Soul and I was an instant fan!
I honestly think this is one of the best vídeos in this channel please put more videos like this 🙏 👏 🙌 Simple and but amazingly educational, nice experience for those who want to be musicians, for thos who have music studios I mean is just awesome 👌 👏
Thank you for this video. This is vindication for anyone who struggles with the writing process and feeling like it has to be perfect out of the gate. Even the ultra talented pros lay down rough tracks and mistakes but the point is to get it down and VIBE! Awesome video.
My favorite part was the "Eye's Wide Shut photographer vibes at the end" that song definitely reaches out and is great too and watching you put it all together with a little help just makes it that much more masterful work 😜😉😉😎
I wonder if the acoustasonic can be traced back to the edge who is or at least was in fender’s board. I remember him playing an acoustic as an electric on the All You Can’t Leave Behind tour. I remember thinking it was a bit weird. Not so weird now.
I don’t know anything about the guitar he used on that tour. However, I could see The Edge saying “You what would be cool? A Taylor T-5 that looks like a Fender. Hey, let’s hire the guy who designed it.”
Who's the engineer and how did he get this gig : ) a great guitar/bass/drum and synth syrupy pop song that's lyrically deep, Fan since Freak of the Week - hey.

It doesn’t get any better than Butch Walker. He is a musical genius.
Butch is a genius. I got to see this up close when I was younger and he produced all of my band's demos in those days...
That is amazing

Who was the band?
@@amc78 We were called The Ajax Heavies. We were active in Atlanta and the southeast from 96 to 01.
I just heard "Come Around" (The Ajax Heavies). Sounds good. It's got that Butch Walker touch/vibe/voice.

Sounds like the theme song to Mad About You.

Nice one!

What is the name of this song?
John Mayer released an 80 s style new album and now look 👀..
Butch did it first plus he was actually making 80s music in the 80s.
Nothing against Mayer though. He’s awesome, too.

Absolutely LOVE $#!!t like this and LOVE Butch! I would give a nut to have him produce me!
And I still wouldn't touch an Acoustasonic with a barge pole.
