This is great information, so thanks for that! Extremely helpful! One little quibble though, Waaaaay too fast with the mouse. Its not always easy to see what you are actually doing on the screen. Had to rewind about 20 times to make sense of parts of it.
Muchas gracias.
I use a plugin - Kiwi Bonus Tools that makes the floor match the topo or a Dynamo script... if you don't have bonus tools and Dynamo is to complex anyway... I would probably just use the technique from the video in this link... You can divide the Topo surface; export to DWG; import back into a massing environment and create a roof by face and then use the edge tool. Or just use the cross (planting family) as I did but then create a sweep from a spline drawn by snapping to the cross families. Check the video an it will be clearer I hope... th-cam.com/video/bVBJc39oaN8/w-d-xo.html or this one th-cam.com/video/V4qZdlu-JpE/w-d-xo.html
I tried using doing the roof technique but I kept getting a warning that I could not create the roof because the topo mesh was too complex and I need to simplify it. I was not sure how to simply it since it was an imported model and simply took that model and converted it from import. I can try using the other two suggestion you made. Thanks
Check if you picked the right Profile family (see minute 0:38). Then load it again into the project. Then check that you are picking the profile family from the right place the same as I did on minute 1:23 will do. IF you still can't do it let me know again and I will help See more videos at th-cam.com/channels/eRp1I0xoYMXCrKMRZKewjg.html
I am doing both things the same way you are, but I guess it must be something else because I was trying another way, creating a line based family from a generic family and when I try to load one into the other it doesnt shows up. Thanks for helping
Sorry it won't work with Revit 2014 you'd have to use other techniques to do that like the one in the first part of this video: th-cam.com/video/bVBJc39oaN8/w-d-xo.html Export a DWG from the topo and bring it back. Then (the video doesn't show but you could do a kerb from the Roof slab with an edge or sweep...
VP BIM Channel am already doing on the kerb by using sweep method. the problem for creating path of sweep is in defferent workplane when creating the sweep method. another doubt, how to create center line of road by using on toposurface. (same error for creation of kerb stone)

Thanks a lot !!! This is the way you make Kerbs in Floors with specific slopes
thanks for shaing
Thanks ! its help me a lot...
Many thanks
How can you pick lines that quick? Double/triple clicking over the part of line? Doesn’t work with mine.
YOU CAN PRESS TAB HAH
Good suff! Thanks for sharing!
que ingenioso me encanta, me suscribo

just great!!
simple and straight
best wishes
this is awesome
is this not available on 2015?
It's not available in 2015. In 2015 I would use the Floor 'slab edge' tool with a kerb profile
When I initially created the top it was created from an imported model. If I use the floor will it follow the contours of the topo?

By the way do you have any videos on creating custom geometric building shapes with precise angles/ slopes...
I cant do it, when i edit the railing it doesnt show me the profile I made so I cant change the circular handrail.

I'm happy to take a look at the file if you are able to send it to me. my email is sup.vpbim@gmail.com
I can't create railing on top of 'toposurface'.., doesn't active "pick new host" when clicking railing.
And you are using Revit 2018?
Revit 2014
Sorry it won't work with Revit 2014 you'd have to use other techniques to do that like the one in the first part of this video:

Excelent, thank you.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. It helps me a lot
Thank you so so so much.
thank you
Finally!!!
You're right! and this is great not just to do kerbs, this is great to do fences and any railing and host it on the topo!
genius
Good tutorial but poor video quality makes it harder to follow. Should be slower and clear.
