Hello Diane, I LOVE the way you have started this video (and the previous one) with the view of your outdoors and you and Lottie (It is Lottie. Right?) Awesome. Thank you for this video. I really appreciate it. So, what I was trying to say in my previous comments is that you have a connection with your viewers. You taking the time to read and to answer all of our comments bonds us together... into a family. AI cannot do this. You see! May have more comments later as I am still enjoying it. Have a great day. Hugs, Eve
OK, first, I love the tutorial - sharing with my daughter, too, who is just beginning. But….I’m too much of an animal lover not to comment…loved the ending with your dogs. You seem to have such a wonderful life there!!!!
My comment on the mushrooms should have been here! I thought it was your daughter playing fetch at the end of this video! I need your skincare routine! You are amazing!
Great video. Going to go try this right now! And we got a rare glimpse of YOU! Sometimes it feels like you are a disembodied entity who just has these tremendously talented hands that know how to paint! LOL
Love this lesson in Loose, I really need to be reminded not to have tight hand! Also love the Brush presentation, as I have lots of brushes through the years. Thanks for teaching me so many ways to do things! Karen Dirmish Learner! 15:15
Pretty, easy flowers, I'm going to start page 1 in my new watercolor pad with these. (I've had it for over a week and afraid to paint in it for fear I'll mess it up.) Such fun with the dogs at the end! No matter what country they are in, dogs love to chase after whatever you throw. :) Thank you for another relaxing video. Sandy
Love the final result with the big brushes! I’ve painted little flowers using this technique, but never thought of using the hake brush! Will definitively give it a try. Thanks, Diane! Oh, and what a nice and joyful ending with your dogs ❤
I really enjoyed this tutorial Diane. I enjoyed trying to control my water as I find I sometimes don’t use enough water and because it was painting loosely I wasn’t freaking about the marks and shapes that were being made. The Art Nouveau set has nice muted colours and when using this technique of painting it gives a nice pastel/vintage look. Using an older or unfamiliar paintbrush can give some nice effects also. Very relaxing tutorial Diane, Thankyou. I wish I was as light on my feet as Lottie is her paws she’s like a Spring lamb skipping about with your brush and her ball he he!!!!!!! An absolute delight xxx 🥰🏴
I tend to have a tight hand too! I like this method of loose florals. It is just too hot here at the moment for me to focus on painting, but I will resume when things cool down a bit. I'm bookmarking all of your videos for easy access later. :). Thank you for another great tutorial. I also love seeing glimpses of your farm. :). Happy Weekend!
Very pretty. I was surprised you didn't add any gold. My friend really likes the gold blended in to petals and spatter, so I might try something like this and add gold. Loved the laughter at the end with the dogs. Thank you for all you do and the wonderful variety. Take care.
The flowers remind me of the pink dogwood tree flowers found in mid-Atlantic US states (only 4 petals). I don’t think the same dogwood is in Europe. Love the puppies! Thank you for sharing your talent. Nancy in South Carolina
I do love this technique and I do watch Maremi on her channels. When I first saw this I thought how interesting and fun this could be! It is fun, after all! I do love your painting skills! You always seem to know what to do to help us improve. Thank you!😊
Great tutorial. Your flowers were lovely and delicate. Mine turned out a bit wonky but look forward to trying again. Relaxing and fun. Thank you Diane x
Thank you so much, Diane!!! I will be trying this today. I have all of my mom's old watercolor brushes and I'll use them for fun. These flowers will make a very nice birthday card for my cousin's birthday. You can tell your dogs love you so much (dogs are definitely woman's best friend!)
🌻🌸🌺 love the teaching and the mumbling (no AI can replace that) 😊 It's this loose watercolour that entices me and inspires me, and I love the intricate pen detail, beautiful. Good to see your paint brushes have an afterlife. Thank you
I am mesmerized watching you develop a beautiful painting right before my eyes! It’s so calming to listen to you! I’m from Kentucky and just love listening to your accent! You are such a talented artist!
What a great video! It's always so fun to get a glimpse of your lovely garden, sweet dogs, and beautiful you! Your paintings are gorgeous with that vintage look I love. I'll give this technique a go today. Oh, and a friend of mine told me yesterday that her sister is now interested in learning watercolor so she gave her your TH-cam channel information. Yay....another aspiring artist headed your way! Thank you Diane and Tamsin for a lovely tutorial and sharing your happy pups with us.
A calming tutorial that I can follow without feeling rushed. And love your dogs - I spent many happy hours with my old dog, she never tired of tennis balls!
I've watched Marimi do her dot flowers and she adds WAY BLING on hers! They're gorgeous. Btw, I received my used book, Watercolor Simplified, yesterday, and I've thumbed through it. Quite loose, not sure I could get there, but I'll give it a read. Very interesting. Have a great weekend, Diane and Tamsin, and many thanks for all of your efforts! :) Fanna
Diane, i love how you have included your beautiful home scenery (I am a bit envious. I wish my home had such a lovely location in the countryside like you have), and Lottie and Zen. It makes your videos even more personal, loving and special. What a great idea. I, myself, had a golden retriever once and i just love this breed of dogs. They are beautiful, huggable and kind. Thank you. Your tutorial is awesome, helpful , personal and loving as always. Have a lovely, relaxing Sunday. Hugs. Eve
This was lovely, I did give this a go but my colours were to dark , watching you I think I know what I’ve done wrong, as I watched Marta doing this,,,. Xx ❤
Finally I found the Art Nouveau set!! Ordered and it's coming today...... so excited! Not that I really need any more colors, but there is just something about that palette that I can't resist! Seriously in LOVE with your brush missing half of the hairs! Absolute gold!
I loved the video and the technique! I didn't even think I liked that paint palette until I saw you use it, then I had to get it! I'm so glad I did! 😊🎨 There's nothing better than our furbabies; unconditional love 24/7!! 🐾❤
I love the softness of this flower! This will be fun to see what the paint does. Must go check to see if I actually own a flat brush, I think I see one! It will be fun to practice with all kinds of color combinations! Lottie needs a chuck it ball. Or, you need the chuck-it thrower.....Zen would love it too!
Good morning/afternoon, Diane! This tutorial is just what I need today ~ thank you! Easy and fun, resulting in these beautiful loose flowers. Painting with you is so relaxing and stress relieving. You are such a good teacher.
I’ve done some of Maremi’s dot flowers with varying degrees of luck, but I like yours because they’re simpler colour choices and even looser. The Art Nouveau colours also lend a very different feel. Lovely!
Loved this, Diane, ….not seen this technique before but did enjoy watching this loose style effect and will also take look at the channel by Maremi…not sure if that is the correct spelling, but will try. Thank you, as always 🤗🤗
Cool technique! It really releases magical effects! Clever! I fight to try to be loose in painting. This would really help me to break my own boundary.

Love the flowers. Oh, to have the energy and enthusiasm of a dog.
Love seeing the puppies and all your animals on your videos!

Love that you include your animals in the video. Looks peaceful where you live.
Loose ferrule? Tip I learned from Lindsay Weirich's youtube..gently squeeze the ferrule with pliers. No more twisting. 😊
My comment on the mushrooms should have been here! I thought it was your daughter playing fetch at the end of this video! I need your skincare routine! You are amazing!
Your pictures are always so elegant in the end.
Great video. Going to go try this right now! And we got a rare glimpse of YOU! Sometimes it feels like you are a disembodied entity who just has these tremendously talented hands that know how to paint! LOL
Love this! Has a vintage quality about it.
Lovely paintings and great info. Old brushes who knew?
Fun lesson
This turned out so pretty! Always love the Art Nouveau paints. Have a wonderful weekend Diane! ~ Sherri

I love the loose touch...I need to practice...love your style Diane ❤
Your dogs are so cute! I loved watching them play
Good lesson to try several ways of painting flowers. Thanks Diane 😊
❤ The flowers! I will practice. I really need to loosen up. Thank you. It’s difficult to overcome being so detail oriented.
Love the final result with the big brushes! I’ve painted little flowers using this technique, but never thought of using the hake brush! Will definitively give it a try. Thanks, Diane! Oh, and what a nice and joyful ending with your dogs ❤
And in the end you have something lovely!❤
So soft and gorgeous!♥️♥️

Have a nice evening! Adriana
That’s beautiful. I really love that art nouveau set of paints.
Diane, I love your flowers. I just put my brocken brushes. I will get them out of the trash. I really liked it when you played with your dogs. Thanks.
I have tried this. I found the angle brush or sword brush worked best for me.
Great tutorial. Your flowers were lovely and delicate. Mine turned out a bit wonky but look forward to trying again. Relaxing and fun. Thank you Diane x
Gorgeous
This looks so fun and relaxing. Definitely trying it. Thanks!

I'll have to give this a try. It looks easy enough if you have the right worn out brush. LOL
Cool technique! It really releases magical effects! Clever! I fight to try to be loose in painting. This would really help me to break my own boundary.
