As soon as I see a council hall I get a blacksmith ASAP for +1 ranged defence. Then +1 melee attack for the horsemen. Horsemen are such a huge food investment that you need to get value from them at the enemy base idling his eco. You should have secured your woodline better with some litle fan-out palisade walls on either side of the primary woodline to make it harder for them to deny you wood, and an outpost either side of the woodline. That kind of investment means that yes - you should probably have delayed 2nd TC.
yeah some mis-macro +2nd TC caused my blacksmith to be so so late, basically rendering it completely useless haha some raiding would have helped too, I really wasn't on the ball this game 😅 I think uploading losses is good though, as I'm getting a ton of great advice.
Instead of 2nd tc which is 750 resources go heavy on archers, get tchem +1 ranged armor/attack and use horses to tank their archers but don't dive in, let archers do most of dmg and use horses as distraction - threaten with engage. You could have around 5-8 horses and 30 archers and beat his army if that easily. Go castle as you need to counter their MAA and once you have ghulams/crossbows, you can then put 2nd TC. Same for mongols, if they horse rush you, you don't go 2tc, you counter tchem when slowly building up castle/2nd tc. One more thing, you can put your 2nd TC under the first TC, that's much safer, but you lose time on walking to resources.
Thank you, this sounds like excellent advice for next time. You're totally right, I made waaaay too many horses, cost me too much food as well. Very true, I was too focused on getting the 2nd TC in an optimal resource position, but I should have just used it defensively. Thanks for the comment, some amazing points here. Hope you enjoyed the video 👌
"I can just move in with my horsemen and hope he hasn't made enough spears to counter" Narrator: "He had" Jokes aside, going 2nd TC when opponent is going feudal all-in is not going to go well. If the resources you put into the 2nd TC were put into archers, you may have stood a chance. Other option is to rush castle and try and get a mango out, but looks like he was already far enough ahead that that wouldn't have worked.
ahahah totally correct in your narration, and completely incorrect action for me to take for sure, I guess I was thinking I've already invested getting the stone, but I should have used that to get some arrowslits in towers instead of the 2nd TC. thank you for the comment, made me laugh!
While the casted games are nice the ones where you are actively playing and thinking out loud just are more enjoyable imo. That is just one persons opinion idk where most everyone else stands. Either way very good stuff.
still super useful to know what people are enjoying more. Plus, from the views and comments it does seem like people prefer the live commentary games. Good for me too, I get to play more games haha! Glad you've been enjoying the content, happy to have you here Carbide! 🫡
I am not good as a player, but I think you need to raid and try to catch up some support from base, it will slow him down, cuz his army is slow, your horses are the fastest in game, but you need to keep concentrate on this raidings, cuz it is not cheap limit
I totally agree, raiding would have given me breathing room to adapt to his aggression. I find the multi-tasking needed quite difficult some times but always looking to improve. Cheers for the comment, hope you enjoyed the vid!
i agree with 2 arhery ranges instead of 2 stabels. but military wing is still a good, maybe the best wing for that case. he lost because the engagement was aweful a moved into spears. not using the mobility of horsemen to raid and idle the english vills
yes this would have been a good idea, I think you can even support triple archery range as Abbasids? an idea to try for next time for sure. Thanks for the comment! ✌🏻

Are the English good then. They punch well above their weight in real life TBF 😅
That name 😂 “fatboy”
ahah is that what it translates to??
you should have made 2 archery range instead of stable and you shouldnt have went for millitary wing against council.

100%, my engagement and micro were horrible this game. I think it's what I struggle with most. Always trying to improve.
