I’ll be honest, I went into watching season 1 with very low expectations. Turns out I ended up absolutely getting hooked. The Avatrice slowest of burns was such a lovely journey to follow. I will be devastated if they don’t get a 3rd season. But Netflix has done the bare minimum to promote it after shelving it for months after editing was completed. We waited nearly 2.5 years for season 2! I’m glad the show and cast are getting so much love. Thanks for another fantastic review!
Something is different about this show, the build up, the writting, the acting.. the actresses maybe? something is happening here with this relationship .. I mean.. I haven't witnessed this kind of magic since the 100 and Clexa ; I just hope the showrunner is not going to ruin it for "artistic" purpose.. because, we have been there already

I need more 😍 also, it was fun when I clicked on the show in 2020 just cause I like fantasy and then immediately got a bi vibe from Ava 😂 sometimes the sapphics find us even when we're not looking for them I guess 🤷🏻♀️❤

Since then I didn't have any wlw couple I was rooting for until I watched WN one week ago. I'm absolutely in love with this show and especially with AvaTrice!! I appreciate the great representation of wlw relationships without fetishizing them. They could be the healthiest couple out there. 🌈🌹I hope we will get another season otherwise It would be devistating for all of us... Season 2 took the the set up from season 1 & hit a home-run (sorry-love my baseball) for all reasons you mentioned... I also liked their choices of music... refreshing to have such good writing... L-Word Gen Q could take a cue or two from them.
When people want to get me to watch a show, they usually get me with "there is an older female authority figure in it" so I mainly watched this for mother superion. But what kept me watching were those two and the genuinly quite good writing. I hope this isn't the next show in line for the lesbian netflix curse :(
I do agree with you Tessa. The first episodes were a bit lowest for me too, then Ava and Beatrice's story show a high and so nice chimistry...😍 Fight scene are nice... Crossing my fingers for season 3.💕

But I'll say, funnily enough, I'm more interested in the overall story, rather than Ava and Beatrice's relationship at this point. Most slow burns work for me, this didn't capture me the way others have. But I don't feel I wasted time watching it, just not gaga for it the way a lot of people are. Again, might have something to do with the age of the characters. I'd be more interested in the mythology of the show and where that goes at this time if it is saved at some point.

Watched it. Kinda expected more because of the reaction on the internet but it's entertaining. After I finished it I wished more people watched Legends of Tomorrow, one of the few shows that had a leading wlw open couple for several seasons.
I thinks it's pretty much globally thought of that season 2 is a huge improvement to season 1 even for those who loves season 1. I liked the show from the beginning because I'm a sucker for these things but the thing that captivated me most about season 2 was the imagery the cinematography, the choreographed action scenes, the pacing of the show, and of course, avatrice. But even without avatrice is think the show is amazing, I'm just glad we can have a wlw relationship within it.
I love how the Avatrice🥰 relationship is so well done that you forget about the chaos of Lillith, and all the men. Why the bad guy gotta look like an old Jared Leto🤔... Mary?!? Finally a character that is Jackie Brown in a habit and they feed her to zombies🤦🏾♀️
Erm.. The show runner didn't feed her to the wolves The actress left to deal with personal issues, I'm still hoping once we get a season 3 she might come back. Remember they never found her body 😊

A spot on review and I agree that it was the relationships that kept me going. The last two episodes were just nutcase but I had tears in my eyes when Ava declared her love for Beatrice.
You know what's funny. If you look at scenes where there were people running around panicking at the background, you will see that they were clearly running in circle.
The good thing about this show is you appreciate all the characters not only ava and beatrice, all of the character play an important role in the series, that's why it so enjoyable to watched, like for instance, camila, mother superion, mary, yasmine, lilith and father Vincent, all play important roles to the progress of the story. ❤️ Sad to say that netflix cancelled a good show like WN 😭
I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately, Netflix officially cancelled Warrior Nun. However, fans are not letting it go easily. It is currently trending worldwide all over twitter as #savewarriornun . People are PISSED and posting screenshots all over of cancelling their Netflix subscriptions. Here's hoping it gets renewed and/or a different program picks it up.
Avatrice is not the only reason to watch. Ppl do not harass this person to watch/review stuff. I don't think she likes it. There are plenty of other reviewers out there.

Great show. Ava is adorable. Would love to see Alba in something with Jodie Comer. The show itself is very different and refreshing.
