Me and a friend was talking about this solo a few days back and he sent me this video. He is the big kiss fan bass player and I jam guitar with him. I think he wants to do this song so this is cool to see

Hey buddy, thanks so much for all the amazingly easy to follow and detailed Ace Frehley solo lessons like this one. Would be amazing if you ever had the time to do an update to this one with the extended firehouse solo that he plays on Kiss Alive. That's where the real Ace magic happens after he sets the stage with the first part which is this solo from the studio version of Firehouse you lay out so perfectly here.

Firehouse Solo, learnt but haven't yet mastered the chicken picking part, but it's all good, now I can not only play the song but the solo as well. Great stuff Rhys, keep more of these solos coming

I am late to the party again...but I have to say I dusted off the guitar when I found all your classic Kiss solo videos. I have been learning how to play the guitar for 35+ years now, and this is exactly what I needed to motivate me! My kids think I'm nuts, but I am having a blast learning all these 70's Kiss songs again! How many Kiss solo videos have you made now?

I absolutely adore this solo, everytime I listen to that 1st album. HUGE THANK YOU MATE! You have amazing control over those 2 strings man, I can't do it. I'm having too much trouble with the "chicken picking" with the other string, or is it the same G string?

Good lesson! But if you wanna play like Ace you gotta train your fingers to be able to bend full tones with only one finger like he does ;) It's not that hard if you persist.

@@essm it´s wrong, play the song and hear and notice that you are playing it wrong. you are missing or ignoring the most important technique in the solo "teacher"
