During a mission to investigate the crash site of a Japanese transport plane, McHale and the crew recover four million dollars in American cash. Thinking that it is counterfeit, they return to base, where Gruber later trades it to Chief Urulu for some native trinkets. But when they find out that the money is real -- stolen by the Japanese from a bank in the Philippines -- Gruber challenges Urulu to a winner-take-all poker game to get it back.

Jacques Aubuchon did a superb effort as Urulu, always wanted to see more of him as the series progressed. But I believe that he pretty much finished up by around the end of only one season of appearances. He was an excellent performer and played off well against the 73s great "con man" .......Gruber
You're so right. Everything he does as Urulu is raising the comedy to a higher level, blissfully perfect delivery, never overdoing it (unfortunately cannot say the same about almost all other actors in this crew).

19:27- 19:56 The aircraft heard flying overhead was undoubtedly making a landing approach to a local airport near Revue Studios, Hollywood. Most likely left it in as a "probability of likelihood" to the scene instead of re-shooting it.

@@jamesmurray8558 The Pacific Ocean naval base stood on the back lot of Universal Studios. For years after the show went off the air, the sets were an attraction on the studio tour. The portion of the Universal Studios tour involving Bruce the Shark attacking the tourist tram takes place on McHale's Lagoon, according to the tour guides.

None of the original episodes were filmed in color, but they were all colorized in the 1990's by a company out of Australia who has since gone bankrupt.
There were two feature films, McHales's Navy and McHales Navy Joins the Air Force. And both of them were filmed in color. Plus the disastrous 1997 reboot.
