  • Jim and Guillaume have been living in Brussels for several years, steadily developing their approaches to composition, sound and image.
Guillaume (GuiQ) experiments with computer simulations and particle systems. He tries to simulate natural phenomenon, and lets the algorythm take over to arrive at a result that oscillates between the organic and the chaotic.
He uses different workstations such as Max/Msp, GLSL for the graphic part, but also the Scheme language to control the parameters in live.
Jim (Slow Lands) produces a musical atmosphere built like a landscape. He takes you on a stroll, a wander, a journey through a place that slowly reveals its different faces.
He composes his pieces following a pre-established baseline, but leaves enough room for improvisation in order to enrich this sound palette by letting the different textures of acoustic or electronic instruments, such as guitar effects, piano strings or synthesizers, intersect. His first album, "Silence" was released in March 2020.
Jim and Guillaume will link up on our stage to bring you a stunning live performance. Combining Jim's cinematographic and experimental universe, visually re-imagined by Guillaume with his hypnotic experimentations generated by live coding.
