I love this song. The fact tht the Jonas Brothers like it too is interesting, I didn't expect that...
I love this song when it came out, just so sweet. He wrote it for his oldest daughter who was getting married. But the ironic and significance of this song became deeper when a tragic accident killed their youngest daughter Maria. I cry every time I hear it and that's why Steven added at the end "the dance will go on". Amazing grace they had carried him and his family through. Kevin was reacting to Steven's singing about Maria on that last verse. I pray for them still.
Zions_Own Well, kind of. He wrote it for his younger daughters, after realising his oldest daughter had grown so fast, to remind him not to miss the little things happening now with his youngest, after they were determined they were going to a ball, on bathtime and had to wear their Cinderella dresses. Then yes, he lost Maria.

Whenever I think of this song, it brings me back to my Dad. I can't imagine how it feels to see me grow up so fast and not be there for most of it. I was dancing to it at a dance, and I had to stop. I was just getting to emotional. I love you Daddy!

i love this song and to have jonas sing it with him is amazing.
he was on the piano, which was kinda behind the curtin from my point of view, i went over to it once with my camera and you can hear him sometimes but it was hard to see him.

the song isnt about his daughter that died it was written before that happened its about his oldest who had just gotten engaged

well before the were really famous they talked about it a lot more but i dont think disney really wants them to be so out about it. they all wear purity rings and have said its "a commitment to god and themselves to respect a woman" and their father used to be a pastor, if you search for it there is a video of kevin and his dad singing at church as well as joe. theres a lot of things that made me figure that out. lol.
