Thanks for focusing on the Hyperion, hard to find dedicated reviews on it. I have a Gen 3 Perseus 16mm and I find it to be just a tad too heavy feeling. I do have 8 grams of Tungsten on it but I do on all my paddles. I was thinking of either jumping to the Perseus 14 or possible the Hyperion 14/16. Which did you prefer the 16 or 14mm and did you find the Hyperion to feel substantially any lighter/quicker then the Perseus
I think if you like the play style of a 16mm you should go with Hyperion 16 but if you don't mind more pop as a consequence (or benefit depending on how you look at it), then the 14mm could be a good option as the swing weight is already a bit lower because of the head shape plus it has a lower stock weight at 7.8oz.
Can you compare this to the Perseus 3?
That looks sick!
How long did you play with it? I’m not a fan of paddles that have their play characteristics that change over time (break in period).
Two weeks! People say there is a break in but I haven't noticed much of a difference myself. Could be that the break in process is so slow I adjusted along the way.
how does it compare to the C2 Hyperion?
Completely different and much more improved core but the same shape. The new propulsion core feels a lot bouncier than the C2.
is this paddle considered Elongated?
Yes!
I believe its a standard shape
