This made me tear I have a 1999 Ford Explorer I’m definitely going to convert it into the Jurassic park truck. Reminds me of my grandma watching the movie at her house while it was raining eating cereal with my brother... may they both Rest In Peace ❤
As a former bodyman, I've got to say this is one of the best paint jobs i've seen with rattle can. You have little bit of tiger striping and the contrast between the two colors doesn't fade/feather very well. But that's almost impossible to do without a gun and using spray paint. Bravo my good sir, keep up the good work and I look forward to tracking your progress!
Jesus man... That takes talent. The music alone brings back sooo many memories. Was thinking about grabbing a 92 explorer for a winter beater. Had a 94 a couple years back and let it go. Gotta get another one.
THAT IS A DAMN GOOD REPLICA! And a great looking Explorer too! I always wanted to drive the cars from Jurassic park when I was a kid, it was my favorite movie, and the cars in it were my favorite cars, haha.
Looks great man. I always wanted to do this to my grandparents Ford Explorer. It'd be cool if you could get the original rims, too and put in a plexi-glass sun roof with the red box sitting behind it and the head lights on top. Glad to know other people loved these cars as much as me! Paint job is spot on, too!
Its very nice. I noticed that the original front was forma mazda navajo when you bought it. Were did you got the diferent fornt grill? Also the rims of the original movie are in some crashed explorers at the junck yard in wisconsin. You can buy the there for nothing. ( not that yours look bad) but I noticed you have a very good eye on detail. I am tring to do the same thing on an Mercedes ML so I know how dificult it is. congrats.
@nicklepa24 I bought the decal on ebay , it's actually for the door of a jeep which is why it's a tad small. I'll continue working on the car after winter is over.
hey I'm wondering do you drive this all the time or do you just drive it when you feel like it??? I bet your neighbors came right over when they saw the completed form.
@cyruskate Those are actually touch screen TV moniters and are quite rare and expensive seeing as how they were from 1990-91. I would suggest buying a portable color screen TV (you know the small ones you plug into the wall) and retrofitting the screen into the dash console and then running either some sort of replica software or actually making it into a regualr TV but it has to be tunes to recieve digital signals...SOOO with that being said. ITs damn near impossible for that lol
WOOOOOOOOW i was just surfing some forums for a replica explorer and i came across one forum...and i remembered this license plate. goood fuckin job man! i reallly want to do this!
@92explor BTW plexiglass bends and melts if you expose it to high temperatures you could use one of those hot air guns that are used to get the paint off machines but it's still an imposible job
@92explor cryrix is going to make several plexi glass jp explorer roofs and sell them for somewhere around 150 to 200$ , as soon as he's got them I'm going to buy one so best hook up with him.
So sweet. I was a kid when this movie came out. I didnt even know a ford explorer existed until this movie and I wanted one so bad after seeing that film. I still want to do what you did. I would look retarded but I would like all the major motion picture cars. Back to the future delorean. JP explorer. Ecto 1. Dukes of hazzard. lambo countach.
i want to make a replica like this! i have already bought a 92' Ford Explorer, but the Paint is totally new and beautiful so i would wait a year or two to do the Replica… The only Problem i see is the Jurassic Park logo… This on the side of the car is very difficult… does anyone have the answer how to make this looks good? i've already a Screen inside, does anyone have the Park tour Program or something like this? it would be really great! :D Thank you all!

Excellent! I wish more people would make these. Makes me want to go out buy an early 90's $2000 beater Explorer and paint it like this.
As a former bodyman, I've got to say this is one of the best paint jobs i've seen with rattle can.

Oh the fun you could have wait until you get pulled over and jump in the back "What no driver?"..."Spared no expense" lol
ha
THAT IS A DAMN GOOD REPLICA! And a great looking Explorer too! I always wanted to drive the cars from Jurassic park when I was a kid, it was my favorite movie, and the cars in it were my favorite cars, haha.
How can someone dislike that ? It is a good and of course much work!
greetings from germany, well done

@RexRaptorSpino If its a speeding ticket, just say you had a t-rex chasing you
good job it looks great.
incredible job!!!! it looks so much like the ones that were in the movie!! the paint is just awesome !!!!! keep up the great work!!
so fucking cool, the fords in that movie are like forgotten movie stars, great job buddy!
What'd I touch????
Uh, you didn't touch anything, we stopped.
Jeez, thaty is one nice looking explorer for $800! You did an excellent job with the grill too btw
Leave it to a Wisconsin boy!!! LOL.
Great job.

what kind of explorer was that? I have only seen a rare few with that type of grill that came stock from the factory
hey I'm wondering do you drive this all the time or do you just drive it when you feel like it??? I bet your neighbors came right over when they saw the completed form.
Don't forget the stickers on the side and the back...it looks great 😎👍
@elwoodbluesbrd529 it's a 94 , although basically all 91-94 explorers look the same so it doesn't really matter which you use.
Just to get all technical, it's called 'Theme From "Jurassic Park"' composed by John Williams.
Absolutely awesome! Now you just need some videos of it driving!
good job on taking lots of photo's along the way , very well done , low budget, do it yourself fun thing to do to a ride.
that looks great for a spray paint job.. kinda jelous makes me wanna make my own now
Does your insurance policy cover T-Rex attacks? And if it does, are you still covered if kids attract it to your car with flash lights?
WOW! True custom!
I think Im getting the early 90s jeep sahara to have done up
Thats pretty sweet, I woulda left the rims the orig machined metal look, but it wouldnt look quite like the real JP explorer.
It would be really cool if you got hold of a 9inch CRT to place in the dash and it played the park tour program.
Where did you get the yellow Jurassic Park logo for the hood?
looks good!!! i always loved the JP explorer. Was it easy to change the grill and the headlamps for the older look?
But..............................THAT CAR IS AWESOME. I'm a big fan of Jurassic park
in that first pic, is that a mazda navajo grill with a ford emblem on it?

DUDE, nice, makes me wanna do one too, how much do you think you could sell it for just because of the paint job?
@thomasmcmullen06, because the Navajo and Explorer front ends were interchangeable, and on this body style, the Navajo front end looks a lot better.
Am ten years late for this video but I love it !!!!!!
Dream's come true
Beautiful job!
Logo on hood has to be a lot bigger also. Its supposed to have the red stripes almost touch the circle on logo
That is so cool XD I should have done that to MY Explorer
great job on your ford explorer
Well done I love it!👍
thanks! me from 11 years ago would be happy to hear it lol
what type of Ford Explorer did you buy?
Hey I'm thinking of doing this for this summer and I wanted to know how the car came out for you. Could you send me a pic?
It looks awesome!!!:-)
@92explor BTW plexiglass bends and melts if you expose it to high temperatures
you could use one of those hot air guns that are used to get the paint off machines but it's still an imposible job
John Hammond's dream come true, GOOD job
@cyruskate how do you have the screen inside?? im doing this with my car wen i get 1
Its awesome, you just need the text and the roof :) dont forget to dry and make the interior the same.
Id love to have me one of these cars ;)
That is such a cool idea! I'm sure that turns heads :D
what kind of paint did you used
is it done yet?
What's the current status? Any updates?
Wow is very cool
@Themaxleydog i think he meant if you got like a speeding ticket do they comment on your paint job
WHOA where you get the grill guard with the lights? thats the same one in the movie, telllll meeeeeeee
where did u get the decal for the hood
What colors for 21 cans of spray paint
if thats an explorer why does it have the navajo front end?
Good job! I like it, and who cares if the rims are wrong? What can I say, "haters gonna hate"!
What model is yours?
Every time I see a replica of the jungle explorer, I'm always disappointed that they don't have the plexiglass roof
“There it is.”
Amazing I liked it
how much did the whole deal cost?
@92explor cryrix is going to make several plexi glass jp explorer roofs and sell them for somewhere around 150 to 200$ , as soon as he's got them I'm going to buy one so best hook up with him.
Now I know what I need to do with my Ranger!
I think its gunna look cool ive got a 94 and I love it the one in my pic is a 97 I just got last year
Did u chuck in a cd rom???
gunna need bigger bumper and glass top but thats sick
the only flaw is the bullbar looks different from the original but its still a fantastic job
What website did you find your ford explorer on
That's awesome!
Looks nice, but you should have spared no expense, and gotten the right wheels and tires, and done the plexiglass roof ;)
How did you get the perfect logo?
Ha awesome! You're in WI, maybe I'll see you on the road.
That's cool as hell.
Why does it have the mazda front?
Now you just gotta find that crazy looking sun-roof
5/5 Stars. Next Project: Build the Glass-Roof ^^
Wow coooool !!!
im buying a 93 explorer limited, and i was going to do the same thing. im sure your ex is a head turner, have you finished it yet?
This is freakin' amazing! I want one! What's the current status of your Explorer?
What's the name of the music at the ending of your video?
Dude this is the theme from Jurassic Park lol
THIS IS GODLIKE!
your hard work has paid off. i hope it lasts.
Awesome!!
can you show you painting a jurassic park jeep?
What where the colours you use or the colour codes you used? Not really helpful to others who want to try this like me.

Felicitation!!!Goodd car!!!!
I love this

i want to make a replica like this!
