People really need to shut up about the GL replacing stickies. THE GRENADE LAUNCHER COULD NOT EVEN COMPARE TO THE STICKY LAUNCHER BEFORE THE NERF. Being able to control the detonations makes a huge difference, and was why stickies were so good.

I disagree. Demos have essentially been hamstrung by this nerf because of how important stickies are for controlling space and dealing damage. Most of the kills in this video would not work with new stickies, especially air stickies which used to be so very satisfying. If the self damage also ramped up then it would be a different story. I'm sure kaidus will find a way to make it work, he's a beast but demos are struggling. Warhuryeah just said fuck it and went heavy. new meta?
tetzell On his stream he said that he doesn't want to play demo next season, whether you are good or not demoman just got it's role changed completely and people that think it was easy because of 'sticky spam' are very ill informed, demo was the hardest class in 6v6 in my opinion and actually stickies are a lot harder to aim than pipes, this nerf takes away a lot of it's role and probably makes it easier because while there were situations where the old demo could play aggressive in the right situation and really change the tide for the team it is now going to only work with a 'byte style' demoman.

That's a bad idea for the future of the game. It will isolate comp tf2 from the casual scene even more than it already is, and there will be less and less players coming into the comp community. Both UGC and ETF2L have stated they aren't going to work with a plugin, and I hope ESEA will do the same.
YexaC I'm sorry you think that way, because a lot of comp tf2 players I know still enjoy pubs. Regardless of your enjoyment of pubs, separating the comp community from the casual scene is bad because there will be less and less players coming into competitive. Making a plugin that separates the comp and vanilla communities is the quickest way to kill competitive tf2.
