Yeah man I always thought of Jack as the goofy what pippin dude. Thought that until yesterday when I saw gang gang gang on yt short. It was so heavy lyrical, I reminded of an Eminem song like Stan or Headlights. Just dark, depressing, but realistic lyrics with a slow beat. I’m listening to the full album now and I can say that, all of it so far now lives up to that statement.
I really believe Jack turned it around with this record.
This is the same exact sound as his last record that he got a ton of negative opinions about.
Looking through the whole album like "please go hard... Please go hard...." He can't make one song in the vein of Sundown or Ghost? Just 2013 Drake type shit? Lol

@@mediumChungus69 It's not. Just because the beat is mellow, doesn't make it the same as the last record - he's going back to his pen and talking abt real shit on this one. I don't think it's on the same level as his early works, but it's definitely less poppy and stream-chasing comparing to his recent stuffs.

im 22 years old and about to graduate college in a week from today. to be honest, i’ve been kind of in a funk about it. ive had an amazing time here but i cant help but have so many regrets, feeling like i didnt do enough, didnt achieve as much as i should have. time seems to be speeding up at an incomprehensible rate. i dont have a job lined up because this economy sucks, and im scared. its just been a very bittersweet experience and i cant believe its real.
i never thought id say this but here I am listening to a Jack Harlow song and it’s actually touching me and making me feel a little more calm. Love to see a more mature and introspective side from him.
I felt the same way during those times but I was also happy it was over! Plus the future will have plenty of more adventures to look forward to.
I’m graduating in May. I am excited but like you, feel I did not do enough. Part of me blames the pandemic, it made my sophomore and junior years basically nonexistent besides online work. But if there’s one thing you cannot change, it’s the past. Try not to focus so much on the past and the what ifs, that you forget about the present and what you can do today.
Youll get a job lined up. You got this. Just continue applying to plenty of jobs and be flamboyant about what you have to offer.

You got this man! This was me 10 years ago. Just remember that the degree doesn’t really matter. I don’t even work in the field I got my degree in. It’s all about how well you make yourself available & connected. Shit (the system) kind of sucks to be honest. Especially in these times. Pandemic kind of fucked everyone going through school. Be passionate even if the dollars aren’t there right away. People will see it.
