Such an inviting space! You did well dear! A little hint to pass on, if you are rounded edges on wood with a jigsaw, drill a hole in the wood that will be cut off above the bit. You can start with your round cut from that hole. I used to run my saw around on corners and sometimes the bit would break. Or I get rough cut like you did and by drilling that hole, I was able to get a smooth cut! What a perfect and cozy reading spot!
