Your dog is a real camera hound!!! lol I had a 73 500h1. The only issue I had with it was, "staying on it"! It's got a power band between 4000 and 7000 that is unreal. I bet you'll love it.
I wish he was still with me. He loved bikes and would also come riding with me (a little awkward but who could resist!). My new dog is a lot smaller (Staffordshire Terrier) so we'll see how she handles the riding!
You need to fit the original airbox and filters to allow sufficient air back pressure for the carburetors to draw fuel at idle speeds..thats why at mid to full throttle it will respond..If you block the carburetor intakes by 50 percent you should have it idling perfect if the engine is good mechanically..Good luck
Wow! That's something to think about. I'm glad I read your comment. I have a 1978 Honda CB125S. Put on a brand-new Mikuni VM-22 carburetor with a foam air filter. As soon as the bike warms up it just would not idle. I have to keep throttling it or it'll stall. I'm thinking it might be the valve adjustment also.
@atreewithnolife - It definitely was a great find! I unfortunately had to sell it as I was laid off and knew I could sell it quick. I could have got more from it but I wanted it to move... sold in 45 minutes posted on Kijiji for asking price.
I sold this one for $1200. I could have got close to $2000 for it but needed it gone quickly. If it is a 1972 with a front disc brake then it is worth more and is more valuable to the collectors. Doesn't really matter the condition as they are worth at least $500 in rough rough shape.
Can you give me an idea of how much a Kawasaki H1 500 Triple would be worth on an ebay auction of a Kawasaki Forum website? 1. Restored. 2. Very Good Condition. 3. Good Condition. 4. Fair Condition. 5. Poor Condition.
SanFranciscoBay If you have them all, I will give ypu a generous sum of $500 for the entirs pile. Those very nasty smokin' beasts belong in the in thr retirement home wrsr it will be melted down and humanely chamged into a lean Green Fightin' Machine that will live on clean 'tricity. 👊 We must fight two stroke pollution in Calif ! 👊
bought one brand new,in 1970,red,white,I paid 1104,tax,lic out the door.I ordered it in late 1969.Worked after school, saved my money.Do a complete ground up restoration, don't cheap out,you will be sorry,do your research.good luck.
Had one of those, bought new in 72,$1200.00 Canadian.Hard on plugs, had crummy ignition coils and points, would break up at high rpm.Lots of fouled plugs.
Had a couple ,the s1 250 & the 400 triple ., choke must be full on , &just enough throttle to kep it running in the 4 grand area & then (without letting the revs drop ) complete release of the choke & rev to 5 grand & hold there by blipping the throttle ., "any slow down "& it will bog right down regardless of choke or throttle, & stop., till you get it right.,& then it will foul the plugs ,or selectively one at a time...have fun!
Don't you dear call that beautiful piece of motorcycle history a piece of crap. She just needs a make over at the spa! Must of had a rough night out.I will gladly take all you can come up with in that condition.I like them nasty.
that motor sounds good and tight - nice I just got an F7
Great Rick. I love those triples. I have the whole collection. 250 - 750. And my 750 is a Denco 122hp king cobra. A blast to ride. 😁👍👍

Una belleza, una moto para hombres, lastima que ya no salgan mas motos de ese calibre
You'll love this bike when done.

Only good if you had a motorcycle wrecker close by with plenty of spare parts at low prices.
Nice Dog Good Job!

any more vids yet?
YOUR READY TO ROLL PUT AIR IN THOSE TIRES
500 was more dangerous than the 750 because of the weight distribution (too easy to go on the rear wheel)
1972 750's were way worse than 72 500's for pulling the wheel.Had a 500 and rode some 750's.
NICE!!!!!
did you finish the restoration
Unfortunately was laid off and needed quick money. It was sold and exported to Japan.
