you should def do an updated vid on the new fishing update. its a little confusing and theres no vids on it yet. would love it. great video thank you for going through all this
Bro i got Tevants Rod from my first ever "clear", while having a total of 30 hours in game. Safe to say i have consumed the entirety of my Good luck for this game
Didnt see it mentioned but Rye Bread has a 15% fish mastery bonus. It can be crafted at the cooking station (salt, milk, golden rye). Not sure what level it is unlocked (I'm 7 and it's available).
Can you make a video to elaborate on your build? what are the pros and cons of the greatsword and staff? I have gone for the same choice because it felt like fun but others say its bad
First of all, in games like MMOs, there are three schools of thought. The first one is the minmax, over competitive meta chasing gameplay. This one I hate, and the reason is that most people want the easy way out, so in the end, everyone looks the same, sacrificing individualism. The second one, is the off meta chasers. These people build off meta builds purposely, trying to find ways to make the game interesting. Most of them do not believe in METAs altogether. The third one is the fun one. This one is all about playing what YOU feel like fun. What you enjoy, no matter if it is meta or not. I am between the 2nd and the 3rd one. Having said that, my build is still a work in progress, I am changing things once or twice per week. I have 2 presets, one is focused on using the gs and only have like 2 active skills from staff, the other one is the other way around. I enjoy the gameplay as both weapons have huge bursts of damage, offset by large cooldowns. All of my passives work towards strengthening that. At the moment of writing this, I am testing a new setup for pvp, with mixed results. Do NOT follow any guide on offmeta builds. The best results I had were combining my preference with offmeta build suggestions. The moment I tried to play a build from a guide, I hated my very existence 😝. Pros: burst damage, no need to be stationary, both good in aoe and single target, easy to transition to different presets. Cons: long CDs, lower sustained dps compared to other classes, no stealth/hp regen, can be mana hungry Pro or con depending: your gear can be versatile, but it needs to be 100% in line with the way you want to play. (Crit, heavy attack, survivability, mobility, evasion, etc.)
@matcerliani generally i recommend dissolving all dissolvable fish. (The ones you hold in one hand) But, in terms of gains, arowana gives you back one bait and one fish oil, while the green grade butterfish you get in salt water gives you 2 bait and 2 fish oil. So it is more worth dissolving butterfish and using arowana in cooking. Ps: I dissolve everything and use blue for cooking. (Undissolvables of any color as well)
Thank you, thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for! Love your style of breaking down the content! Justr subscribed, you got a new regular! :)
Amazing guide thank you for all the info its already saving we a bunch of pain! My favourite fishing spot is on the top of the saurodoma island mountain/volcano thing there is a lake in the centre and i swear i get way more pouches there than anywhere else ive had them back to back and even the fish seem to be better
@@sneaky5699 aaaand no. As expected. The mystic portal does not need a key to be opened. There was something else going on with the one you encountered.
@BooMe they do drop mats, but I don't know about that specifically. All I know is that the chances to get mats at the moment are pretty low. I wouldn't bet on the sacks for anything tbh. Especially since you can, seemingly, only get them from the bait you get from contract merchants, etc.
@pinie111 thank you! Yeah, I might do that in a new video about it. Maybe even have more info, but make it not as a one-shot, which is how I do these. So that it can be cut and be smaller.
The color above the fish has nothing to do with stamina, its about the location. It has to remain central to the cast. If it goes to far either way, it goes red and has to get reeled back into the central zone
Ok, let me first reply to what you said. The light, above the floater indicates whether the fish will space or not. The fish escapes when it goes too far on each direction. The only way to catch the fish effectively is to reel it in, every time, in the opposite direction the fish is going (thus, at the same time, changing its direction). The change in direction is not guaranteed in any way other than the efficiency of your reelings, meaning how good you are by keeping the fish always on the move. Yes you could sit back and see the stamina deplete itself, but there is a 99% percent you will fail to catch it once it goes to one direction, cause since there is no 100% chance you can change it, if stamina is not depleted, you will fail. ALSO, keeping the stamina of the fish glowing green, makes you far more efficient in using your direction. TL;DR : Yeah, stamina has more to do with the light above the fish than you think. It's a guide to help people be efficient and catch fish. If I wanted to be super detailed I would talk more about the baits and the percentages on fish these increase.
I opened over 40 small bags and 60 big bags and I had 0 fragments.Drop rate for fragments are so low and to get 180 fragments for your weapon it will take you over 200 years if you are lucky. In my opinion if they don't raise this there is no point for fishing
@Drazaaaa True. In my opinion, most rng things are not worth it. At least aluntil you get lucky. I personally fish for the ingredients for my cooking. (Even though I have 3 fragments. I know I will never craft the weapon from fragments)
@betuirokmore an 8 hour expedition, is almost a guarantee for a dawnbreak shore sack. Guess I will get a purple before farming all the jades for a blue one.
@Zvijerko1987 As a matter of fact, when I fish, I watch episodes from series, as the camera moves from left to right, so you can understand where the fish is going. Will do a cooking one, but there are so many things not yet implemented that getting cooking to the max level is only worthit for unlocking the boss dishes
@realWorsin I agree. I hope that the soul fragments of the arch bosses will make it more interesting. Also, the introduction of every ingredient for food recipes will make it more worth as now you can create everything in there, as wine and starfish are in the game.
Could speak slower for you if that's going to help. But the video will be 35+ mins. Making unedited videos so people can see everything has its drawbacks, but that's my style. ;) Have a good day!
