He pulled a Palpatine and orchestrated a war between both factions so he could distract the Imagined Order (The organization that controls the Fortnite world) and build a device to defy their rule, but his device failed and flooded the Fortnite island. He wore the "Midas Rex" armor after being devoured by a shark, think of it as a "Darth Vader" armor. Lynx is a member of Ghost and Chaos Agent is a member of Shadow. Chaos Agent was one of Midas' three original enforcers, he's a mad scientist who experiments with Slurp Juice, he also created Ripley and an army of red evil versions of him, named Sludge. Ripley is one of Chaos Agent's experiments. He's a blue blob.

It's both a great tie-in comic, and a fun Batman story. The Marvel/Fortnite: Nexus War and Batman/Fortnite: Foundation comics also fit in with game lore, the former acting as a prologue to Chapter 2, Season 4 (which was completely Marvel themed) and the latter tied up some loose ends from the previous Batman/Fortnite comics, and set the stage for a major Fortnite character to make his long-awaited return in yesterday's Fortnite live event.
I'm just like Robo with this toy line. I have never played Fortnite and know absolutely nothing about it, however I love the action figures and can't resist buying them. They do fit in with Marvel Legends rather nicely.

@@Barthedanz LOL. You should be able to get it to work, however, I suspect it will take a little more work than just a clean head swap. I'd like to take all my spare Marvel Legends heads and stick them all on Black Series Stormtrooper or X-Wing pilot bodies.
Looks like hasbro is starting strong with fortnite, just hope they can keep it up and keep it going unlike overwatch, and hope the sculpts and paint stay this high quality

Sigh, still disappointed about hasbro just dropping the over watch ultimates line outta no where. They have a lot of cool skins and I wanted them to make a genji figure with the super sentai skin so bad. I hope they do good with the fortnite line 😭

A couple observations comparing the figures to the game: Midas should have two swords, they're the Kingmakers. Rippley and Lynx don't have those back blings in game, those sets don't have back blings period. This last one is just a game lore thing, but Rippley is a being made out of living Slurp (what the little blue jars are filled with) so he could fit in perfectly with the food themed figures released by jazwares.
They all look incredible. Ripley makes me think of Hydroman...excepting the fish of course. Chaos Agent has an alien humanoid bug-like quality. Midas Rex could be an evil Cyborg or gun slinging knight, though I don't think the six shooters fit the asthetic so well as maybe some big ass laser guns🙂 Lynx could be an armoured up Black Cat/Catwoman, or just another high tech badass.
Chaos agent just screams evil scientist henchmen. Like he could be at the Weapon X project having just delivered the adamantium for Logans bonding process.
These look great. I see a lot of awesome custom playdates in the future and cant wait. I think I'm gonna grab that Midus rex and see if he fits into my he-man shelf
I have absolutely NO knowledge of Fortnite other than that it is a game. BUT, these figures are some of the coolest action figures going right now. I can't wait for the Mancake figure.

I saw these at Walmart recently and was super tempted. They look great but I just don't have the room or extra funds for a new toy line. Might have to get just the Ripley though...
The triangles on Lynx remind me of carbon fibre. Midas could be a time traveler with the armour & random pistols. Ripley looks fun, I may get him because he just looks fun & could have a funny voice in my mind.
I loved the Jazwares figures, but I think these are a great improvement in terms of articulation. Jazwares always felt rigid and "clicky" to me if that makes sense. Excited to see this line continue.
you could probably work the cartoony aesthetic into doing customs for more stylized figures! like that chaos agent could work for a Tombstone to go with the spider-verse figures
Me I have no interest in this line, but I’d consider picking up Midas for some custom fodder. I think he (with a navy blue paint job) could make a stand in Gi Joe Overkill, and the holsters could work for a potential Wild Bill
Since hasbro is never going to give us background characters in black series scale, fortnite characters will make good substitutes. But how they packed those accessories is troublesome…
I took the Mando Armorer Helmet off that body (the gold helmet with the little horns on top) and slid it right over Midas's unmasked head, now it's my "Mandolor the Great" XD Midas is just a really impressive figure, I want to customize it more but I'm also happy with his as is!

I believe the Ironman Similarity’s on Midas Rex are intentional. He was introduced to the game around the same time as Iron Man, and was mortally wounded before hand. So I’m the game it is implied that ether Jules (who is Midas’ daughter) built him that based off of Iron Man, or Iron Man himself built it.
I ended up buying Rippley and replacing the cutesy bubble headsculpt with a hollowed out skull that came with a Predator figure, just to make it a bit more sinister and unnerving, weird blue gel body with a human skull suspended inside it.
for figures being around 30 bucks this is an incredible deal vs the master grade series which just falls flat like the possibility and looks is just out of this world
Wanted to buy some of the Jazware figures, but never came to my country, only the 3 3/4. I am planning to buy Lynx because of the same idea, could be a Star Wars figure or an independent operative for GI Joe. Midas Rex could also work with the Classified Line. Another awsome overview.

I've seen these at one Walmart. The "limited view" packaging made me pass on them. Chaos Agent looks like the adult version of Doctor Who gasmask kid. "Are you my mummy?" Midas - Iron Man gets (another) Image makeover?? C-3PO joins WildCATS? and that "ass/crotch flap" is called a #TABARD #RIPGingerBear Lynx - Selina meets Ravage? Catwoman Beyond? I think the backpack just sold me on her! LOL Rippley - PLEASE tell me there's a pink variant for X-Men's Glob Hermann!! LOL "E"laborate Buckle LOL That head is another win. Oh, I saw the Shark last week, too. Already spent WAY too much, tho. LOL😢

I actually got into Jazwares Fortnite because I never see any Hasbro 6" stuff in my neck of the woods . I had planned on collecting GI Joe Classified, but didn't feel like paying double plus shipping on the secondary market. Really enjoyed them while it lasted. Too bad I'll probably never see any of these in the wild either.
The body type of the Chaos Agent. I'm seeing Lupin the 3rd type characters. I'm seeing these and debating as I randomly picked up some jazwares ones just cause thought of alt ideas. The white skull/skeleton trooper will be a Shocker scientist. Lynx really does look like a Catwoman Beyond. Rippley surprised me Midas easy use for a Villain in many genres.
I'm honestly worried about how they package the accessories now Makes it so much easy for them to just get stolen out of the package. I hope they fix that problem down the line by tying them in the card board with some twist or something But the figures are so goooddd, can't wait to get lynx and midas!

One thing that worries me but is also completely awesome is you can hop right on any website and buy these, nothing sold out, not even the Amazon exclusive jewels. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing.
Definitely gonna get a Lynx and turn into a Loathcat themed bounty hunter, Rippley will be a Living Bacta bartender/bouncer for my Cantina and Midas will be a random patron/smuggler
Not a fan of the new package direction. I understand the decision, but I have picked up a few Transformers already that were missing accessories and have heard people have had the same issue with the Fortnite figures. They need to have a window that shows you're getting a complete figure
Ripely is just made of juice anyway, so he kinda falls into the food item characters. He’s just less obvious! But still a fun figure that’s easily one of my favorites.
I appreciate less plastic for the packaging, good for the environment, but I saw these in person a few weeks ago and nearly completely missed them on the shelf, I didn't even realize they were figures at first. I think they should've maybe found a way to incorporate an image of the actual figure on the front of the box, something like how LEGO does their sets where it's all cardboard with an image of the product on the front. Especially this early in the line they'll want them to stand out on the shelf, and sure the packaging is colorful, but seeing only part of the figure through a tiny window with little light getting in is a bit unimpressive looking to me. I know people want to look at the figure for paint quality before opening it, but if they're moving towards more cardboard anyway I think they'd be better going all the way with it. Besides with how much we order online these days I think looking at a figure before getting it is something we care a bit less about these days. I say all this about I line that I'm not even collecting, but if I were to collect it that's something I'd like to see them change.
I’m waiting for the day that hasbro or Mattel get the rights to produce a line of 007 at the 1/12 scale. Imagine ALL the suited bodies, Bonds, Villains, side-characters, Bond girls. I only bring this up b/c Midas Rex face has a Bloefeld type-scar. Until then…time to customize lol
I’ve been holding off on getting fortnite figures from other companies and I may finally break and get these because Hasbro is my favorite toy company and they made my favorite character (Ripley)
The accessories are packed that way because of the lack of plastic due to the shipping crisis. Looks like hasbro is trying to save money by reducing plastic use. Hence the only plastic on the package is a small square window. Only a matter of time before they start using “eco friendly “ as a sales gimmick.

I actually got into Jazwares Fortnite because I never see any Hasbro 6" stuff in my neck of the woods . I had planned on collecting GI Joe Classified, but didn't feel like paying double plus shipping on the secondary market. Really enjoyed them while it lasted. Too bad I'll probably never see any of these in the wild either.

One thing that worries me but is also completely awesome is you can hop right on any website and buy these, nothing sold out, not even the Amazon exclusive jewels. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing.

Definitely gonna get a Lynx and turn into a Loathcat themed bounty hunter, Rippley will be a Living Bacta bartender/bouncer for my Cantina and Midas will be a random patron/smuggler

Not a fan of the new package direction. I understand the decision, but I have picked up a few Transformers already that were missing accessories and have heard people have had the same issue with the Fortnite figures. They need to have a window that shows you're getting a complete figure
Ripely is just made of juice anyway, so he kinda falls into the food item characters. He’s just less obvious! But still a fun figure that’s easily one of my favorites.

I appreciate less plastic for the packaging, good for the environment, but I saw these in person a few weeks ago and nearly completely missed them on the shelf, I didn't even realize they were figures at first. I think they should've maybe found a way to incorporate an image of the actual figure on the front of the box, something like how LEGO does their sets where it's all cardboard with an image of the product on the front. Especially this early in the line they'll want them to stand out on the shelf, and sure the packaging is colorful, but seeing only part of the figure through a tiny window with little light getting in is a bit unimpressive looking to me.
I know people want to look at the figure for paint quality before opening it, but if they're moving towards more cardboard anyway I think they'd be better going all the way with it. Besides with how much we order online these days I think looking at a figure before getting it is something we care a bit less about these days.
I say all this about I line that I'm not even collecting, but if I were to collect it that's something I'd like to see them change.
I’m waiting for the day that hasbro or Mattel get the rights to produce a line of 007 at the 1/12 scale. Imagine ALL the suited bodies, Bonds, Villains, side-characters, Bond girls.
I only bring this up b/c Midas Rex face has a Bloefeld type-scar. Until then…time to customize lol

Not into Fortnite, but these are interesting and beautiful figures! Better than all the Marvel or GI Joe or Star Wars figures they are putting out.
The accessories are packed that way because of the lack of plastic due to the shipping crisis. Looks like hasbro is trying to save money by reducing plastic use. Hence the only plastic on the package is a small square window. Only a matter of time before they start using “eco friendly “ as a sales gimmick.
