Thanks for sharing your experience. I am trying to grow in soil less media, with out sand as well. However using coarse material will make it more porous.
Guess so, I am starting with only Roses now. Need to check the Ph level of the media while it grows. Cocopeat can be mixed with coarse non soil media such as perlite etc. I came across few research articles, I am yet to validate :) Will share the updates.

baking soda solution is used as fungicide spray instead of Saaf, but didnt research if it will harm roots. Foliar spray is okay. Any other systematic , contact fungicide would do.
Hello, you are partially right. Scientifically it's been proved that plants can thrive in cocopeat media as well, it's ph is slightly acidic, but need all nutrient as it does not contain anything. I am to test it myself, will share my progress and experiment update :)
HI Amudha, it's not mud. Its soilless media and light like wind. Besides I have been potting Rose's for several years :) we are not hammering are we? Even if you are using soil media with right proportion, if not filled right, all will erode during heavy downpour, isn't. I appreciate your point though.

I used cocopeat and compost. But on top I added river sand. I used stanes flower fertilizer as well. I had some good flowers.

With my experience red soil in more proportion with cocopeat ,vermicompost works out well compared with cocopeat alone.
That may be. I am trying to grow on soilless media. Compost and coopeat can also be used. All media has it's own advantage and disadvantage.
