It’s just a thrill to see some of the moves that Paul Morphy pulls off they are so risky, and they depend on a very precise understanding of how the game will unfold 4-8 moves later. It’s just a delight to follow these games and I really appreciate the way that you spell them out. Thank you for taking the time and the effort.
In all fairness,,,you really have to take your hat off to Paulsen for also playing blindfolded and really playing well against who is probably the greatest player of all time. ! He certainly has my highest respect, 😎✌
I don't care if your English is good or not you sound great English is not my native language too but you are doing yeoman service to chess aficionados by bringing in Morphy games hats off to you and tks
There is some confusion regarding the article mentioned in the video, I try to clarify. The article of the madman announced in 5 not 6 is not attributed to this match and refers to the performance of Paulsen who performed in a blind simultaneous against 4 opponents, Morphy accepted however on conditions that he too played blindly, i think it's the only time morphy has played blindly with black
If this was that game mentioned in the article, then at 6:37 when Qxg4 is when Morphy announced mate in six. Move 48. in the recorded game. Though it seems the record would have noted that as last move, which it doesnt. The one game I'm aware of where Morphy announced a mate in 5, he was playing black, and only he was blindfolded. There are no moves after announcement. I'm using the recorded games shown on Chessgames.com, so it may not be complete.
I never resign unless it simply would be tedious for us both to continue. Let your brother have the satisfaction of a good mate. There are many games where losing sides could see moves ahead, yet let it go forward. Love of the game doesnt have room for pride.
What a game paulsen was equally good but the too many pawns and queen at c7 and the Two rooks at corners did paulsen let us admit Morphy didn't play a great game he simply fooled paulsen by making him run after pawns while he moved his king forward
1850 paul morphy the great player..1950 bobby fischer become the great player both from america...well maybe 2050 the american player will show up follow the step by two of them....
Hi, first of all thanks for watching. And yes my English is not very good unfortunately; I'm not using English since high school, it was 10 years ago. I'm trying to improve my English, its getting better but very slowly. So anyway I hope you are enjoying the videos, my very first Paul Morphy videos has some technical problems, like this video; my sound is very low, so maybe later I will slowly remake some of them, after I finish the Morphy series.
Historical Chess Videos dont mention it. I love this playlist by the best ever chess player existed. May i ask why dont utilise your English? Dont remake them. They sound great. Focuse on new videos by this god. Please. Greetings.
Thanks for your motivational nice comments and for watching along with very few people. But if you noticed Paul Morphy's chess games after number 18 is edited and they have low sound quality. So maybe after the Morphy series over, lets say years later if I would have the chance and time I will slowly remake the ones with sound problems and delete bad ones. Thats for about 70 videos unfortunately, but I will upload them very slowly, like 1 remastered Morphy video in every week, sometimes 1 video in two weeks and so on... New Paul Morphy games are on its way, take care.

Morphy could see in the future that youtube creators would recreate the game and reveal the checkmate in 6 thus proving his greatness.
