thanks for uploading wale glorious songs , I was very young when this great man passed away,we lived beside his house in akure .I knew about his songs after I grew up my mother told me what happened concerning his death wale was not an armed robber,he committed succide inorder to protect his name from robbery allegation.he was being set up.people value names those time not now names are not valued anylonger.pls people should stop calling this man an armed robber.may his soul find peace (amen)

One of my favourite juju muscians.Very talented, but didn't have the kind of exposure the likes of Sunny and Obey had.He equally ended tragically.He was alleged to have been involved in armed robbery and due to the shame,he committed suicide.
His friends used his vehicle in committing a crime. He was absolved of any participation, but he was gone. He was an honorable man. So sad we lost him so soon.
It’s very hurtful to me, that this kind of wicked and unsubstantiated allegations can be made about him. Please, to all God fearing people outside there. This talented Akure son did not involve himself in any kind criminal activities talk less of armed robbery. Daddy had a liver disease for about 12 months before he passed away. It will relieved him for a week or two and relapsed again. The last time I set my eyes on him. He came to visit his good friend. Uncle Saka Olugosi(Local Kingsway) beside baba Kikiowo’s house. He drove his band’s Land Rover on that day. Already the disease had taken tows on him. He was very lean and tired. Few weeks later, daddy was rushed to Akure General Hospital and he died there. He didn’t commit suicide. He didn’t poison himself. Please, for God’s sake. What then happened to the robbery case? Did the police of 1971 dropped the case because Wale glorious died? What about those band members who used the Land Rovers to commit robbery? Did they die also? Or they let them go away free? What a wicked world! But I don’t think so. Daddy will never commit suicide because of someone else’s criminal offense. I was about 11 years old when he died. My mom told me, he died of this sickness. They were close relatives at Oke Lisa. I was even living with sister Aduke. Daddy Wale glorious’ junior sister at Aiyedun quarter in Akure. Please, I’m pleading with everyone that are carrying all these wicked and ungodly rumors about him to drop it. God bless you IJN.

His music is very distinct, though it also sounds like a hybrid of I.K. Dairo and Dele Ojo. Again, no offense intended here since I don't know who preceded who among these three. I grew up to love Wale Glorious songs with passion just as l did with Dele Ojo and lk Dairo. songs. l don't think there was anybody from his birth place or area at that time who would say that he didn't love his songs very much. Of course, there was a lot of similarities between Dele Ojo, lK Dairo and Wale Glorious songs. This is understandable in view of the fact that the three had similar background because of their common origin. For example, Dele Ojo was an indigene of llara mokin, in Akure division. Akure people as well as llara Mokins are 100% Ekitis by an undisputable facts of history. The language or accent testifies to this fact. And Dele Ojo never hid this fact in his songs. As for Ik Dairo, he was an ljesa man. Tell me the difference between ljesas and Ekitis, then l would ask you to tell me why ljesas had to team up with Ekitis to fight lbadan during the Kiriji war and immediately their teaming up was achieved, the two groups name was changed to EKITI PARAPO! (ie EKITI UNITED). Our children must begin to be encouraged to learn history.
