@Crebs Park.... her voice is indeed interesting, but one cannot tell the body just by the voice. I'm picky, I gotta see the whole package and take it for a spin around the city for a few weeks before jumping into bed. Boundaries and priority, my friend. Most likely it is I who doesn't measure up to her. So be it.
In a previous Alux video it talked about how wrong relationship can break you. (raises hand) That's my life lesson, thankfully others were there to prevent further damage. I could go MGTOW, it's easy to do.... but there's still that small chance, I'm keeping eyes open and a guard dog (or cat) at the door.

My biggest regret is not being able to stop my abusers in my childhood. My mother abandoned me at 8 months old, then my father put me and my sister in care for 4 years. Then shipped to Jamaica where we were abused every single day, Morning, Noon and Night. By the time I was 12, I was broken and an empty shell.
We all have our horror stories and all valid on every level. However, the experience gave me a deep desire to live life to the fullest. I read many books on how to build up my self-confidence and to pursue my career, even though I felt inadequate most of the time.
I learned that people who abuse were abused themselves, so I had to find a way in my heart to forgive and heal. But I'm not totally healed, because as I write this, I feel my eyes welling up. It's not self pity: the little girl in me was so strong, she lived through the misery. I rarely tell her story to anyone, but she deserves a voice to let anyone out there going through a similar hell, that you can get through it. Just don't give up! You can ask or confide in someone to call child protective services. Don't run away because you are so vulnerable and easy prey.
Peace and love to you all.
I will leave behind my books and artwork. But don't wait to enjoy after I'm dead. See my work here: 2-denise-morgan.pixels.com.

I'm only about 24, but used to work a traditional 9-5. Best decision I ever made was too leave the lifestyle to go entrepreneurial and also to follow my passion working in the creative field. Think I might've been the only person in my friend group who did that, but it's been such an insane life changer. Think my logic at the time was while we had no clue where it'd go, at least if anything we'll be able to say we took a chance and risk doing what we enjoyed, and got to walk out some pretty cool memories doing what we love. There's no dollar value to those memories.

My regret is not starting out on the path of financial success earlier in life. It took most of my life to overcome some questionable values. I read a number of business and finance books and to my chagrin a lot of the content confirmed the ideas I’ve had about business success. I wish everyone well in their endeavors.

#1 Regret: Not having the courage to pursue my dream earlier in life.

    • @jamie49868
      @jamie49868 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That is better than never having a dream. Most people only have the vague nebulous ideas..."I want a good job", "I want a nice wife and family", "I want nice house", etc. Or they have the out of touch grandiose ideas..."I want to play in the NBA", "I want to be rock start", or simply "I want to be rich".
If you have a dream that isn't reliant on some super talent or good luck, it's never too late to pursue it. You may not be the next Eric Clapton, but you can learn to play the guitar. You may not be the next Steven King, but you can write a book. You may not be the next Warren Buffet, but you can learn how to invest. You can become a lawyer, doctor, accountant, iron worker, potter, fireman, truck driver, or what ever else is your dream....provided you have a dream. Good luck!

Great video. Here are my responses to the 15 Biggest Regrets in Life
    1. Living the life you want to live, not the one that's expected of you- (Disagree, as most people care less about what their parents aspire for their lives)
    2. Having the courage to express your feelings- (Agree. There are some people especially your parents you should have appreciated and loved more)
    3. Standing up for yourself in your early years. (Disagree. Gang members always stand up for themselves. Are they better off? Turning the other check is okay then eliminating people from your lives)
    4. Settling for less than what we really want- (Agree. Most people in life are lazy and would rather watch Netflix than try to be great)
    5. Not taking action when you know it's the right thing to do (Agree. Same a #5)
    6. Not taking more risks- (Disagree. The answer is really the same as #4 and #5. Most people do not have or create opportunities in life to even take risks. If you have a great business idea, do you consider this a risk to pursue it?)
    7. Not taking better care of yourself- (Strongly Agree. The drinking, vaping, drugs, overeating and lack of exercise has sucked the energy from most people).
    8. Get more done- (Agree. You need to plan out your days with a strong/realistic ToDo List)
    9. Allowing old friendships to fade away- (Agree. Even family members and new friends you should stay in contact. With Facebook and texting, even the laziest people can achieve this.)
    10. Not making peace with yourself and others- (Agree. This is more about controlling your thoughts)
    11. Not traveling more- (Disagree. Unless you can share the experience with a person you like and who is fun, traveling is overrated)
    12. Not following or making time for your passion- (Very true. So many people wished they played an instrument or continued a hobby)
    13. Working so much at the expense of family and friends- (Agree. However spending quality time with people and do special things for them can minimize the time you feel you need to spend with them)
    14. Taking yourself too seriously & worrying what other people think- (Disagree. Life is serious and people you care about are very sensitive. To not care what other people feel/think will damage relationships with important people in your life)
    15. Not living a more meaningful life- (Disagree. Too general.)
    16. Not learning how to deal regrets early enough- (Disagree, since the goal is to minimize regrets and not to learn to accept them.)

My big regret was (and still is) not saying others about my feelings, not saying clearly about my goals and expectations in relationships. I’ve been keeping it deeply inside for many many years. Even though I tell myself not to care of any judgment or rejection, it’s still very hard to do so. And my second big regret is taking myself (and life) too seriously. I still think that this is probably a big fight for the better.

    This is my experience.
Get a good pension scheme early on in your working life, and decide the year you want to retire.
On more than one occasion you will be pressured by your family, and financial pressure to cut what you are putting into your pension pot.
Keep up with the pension plan.
Then you wake up one day next to your wife aged 53, and know you will never have to do a days work again !
Otherwise carry on working till you are 65.

Biggest regret is not taking opportunities to explore and experience life in my teens and twenties. I'm now in my 30's and have led a completely sheltered life in my head. I have plenty of book smarts and lead a healthy lifestyle, and am all too aware now of the things I could have done (e.g. cultural immersion travel, dating, performing arts, driving, starting a business, to try something (socially) risky etc). Being a busy pregnant housewife - to be homeschooler, it may be a while until I have another opportunity to do the above (but will sneak it in where I can). For now, the plan is to explore motherhood to the fullest. It takes some serious planning (think Tony Robbins system) and discipline to 'have it all', and that is what I'm going for and I never give up on anything I really want! :D

#5 and #6 resonate with me. I had always been playing it safe and believed that I should always have a safety net. But having too good a safety net has lulled me into believing that it was okay to fall down seven, get up eight. In the long run, I ended up moving sideways and gradually backwards. Taking a chance at opportunities mean that I have a 1/3 chance achieving my dreams, 1/3 of ending up where I started, and 1/3 of ending up at the bottom. Definitely way better than a 90% chance of staying where I am and a 10% chance of ending up at the bottom.
Never too late to have realised this.

I know this is too late, but I just watch it. One regret I have is getting married just because I was in love with my partner, not realizing that he failed in any other past projects he had in his life, including a past relationship with the mother of his children.

The permanent change / impact that we leave behind in this world it’s the most important part of anyone’s life.
And that’s the reason why I am surprised this one wasn’t listed.
Giving your kids everything, but time.
If we all make sure our kids grow to be better than us in most ways by the time their life is over and they do the same to their kids and so on. It would only take about seven generations to live in an almost perfect world.
I have heard many people that for years concentrate on the promotion, the tittle, the money, on the goal. And they think that by providing copious financial support to their offsprings will suffice.
To only realice latter in life that they fail as a parent.
Then, trying to make up in the attempt to educate a 28 or 30 year old full grown adult...To late buddy.
It is this part of our society where the weal is broken, in my opinion.
And to me that is one of the biggest regrets one can have.

You know watching this channel in general does not make me happy. Now I am not saying this is a bad thing, because it speaks the the truth. There things in this Chanel that I must learn and at the same time I try to run away form my problems. And yes I am not proud of it and most of time I feel like shit about it. I am confused, angry, and sad because I have no answer for a cross road in my life. As a result of It i went form life a person filled with hope who thought anything was possible, but as time went I on I see the grim reality of my life. I don’t now when it started but I don’t think it really matters. However I am still alive. Maybe my life hasn’t become of what I dreamt and may never know what I truly want in my life, but Alux is right. As hard as it maybe I have to accept the mistakes in my life and leave it in my pass and move on. After all I am only human. I may not know if the path I choose is correct, but if I don’t choose I may never know. I know it will be hard and I probably will end up doing more mistakes. But at least I will die without a regret

My absolute biggest regret of my life was not leaving Chicago and moving to Las Vegas to further my boxing career as a professional boxer when I turned pro. I know in my heart, mind body and soul that I'm good enough to compete at the world class level. Not making that decision is something that has been tormenting me, especially the last few years. It's a regret that I have to live with for the rest of my life because I will always wonder what could've been, who I would've met and what my life could be like today. It feels like a special kind of Hell and there's only so much I can do to make up for that fatal mistake. I do what I can now and I'm focusing on building my real estate career but that regret has taken me to some pretty dark places.

    My single greatest regret...
My nephew was... 2 years old.
I was watching him and he was playing while I enjoyed a game. A cutscene came on, I think it as at the end of the game,
He got upset and wanted my attention and wouldn't stop whining, I wanted to enjoy that cutscene first...
I yelled at him. I never had before, I never have sense (he's about to turn 9 now.)
I screamed at him to shut up.
Called him a "demon child" because he was upset...
    I hate myself for that.
That I was in a dark place in my life was no excuse.
I don't even remember what the game was, but I will forever remember my shame.
He doesn't remember it, and I'm his favorite uncle, but... Still.

I am only 32 years old, but I definitely have things from my past I regret like not going to rock-concerts more often especially now with the oldschool-ones I know are threatening to call it quits from the road like Kiss, Bob Seger, Slayer, Lynard Skynard among others.
I also regret that I have had a TH-cam-Channel since 2008 but I did not start making videos myself until almost a decade later. As I could have been successful and financially-autonomous to the point I could have avoided the need to work a regular-job. I now cannot stop comparing myself either to people who have had a TH-cam-Channel since than or sooner but have been making videos since than and have been successful as such.
I also regret I did not write a novel after I made one for my High-School senior-project in 2006. This is another-way I could have been successful too.
It's because of these regrets I will still struggle every now and than with self-confidence and cannot even get myself to feel confident.
I regret my laziness in the past but in-spite of this I can't get myself to write my novel.
