Y’all were so young-cute little girls in the clip from the past. 😻 two beautiful ladies now. And-lately, you two have favored more. I never had any problem know who was who-but, lately I have to really pay attention on some of the videos.
Love this ❤️ I lost mine when I was 16 & it destroyed me. It’s been 18 years and it’s still hard. Some days more than others. My Uncle (my Gram’s brother) had a Bluegrass band and needed a bass fiddle player. Somehow he met my Pap and brought him home to practice (they got to play on the radio a few times). My Gram came in and the first thing she said get your pop off my piano. They got married less than a year later, at 16 & 18, and were married 57 years. He would’ve loved listening to ya’ll 🥹 Much love from this Granddaughter to you both ❤️
My maternal grandfather passed away in 1983 on April 18th, he was the first grandparent I lost. My mom passed away on April 6, 2006. I have a friend who lost both parents in April. I always think of the poem with the line "April is the cruelest month". I love the song you two are playing, it's so beautiful and has that kind of Celtic feel. ❤❤
This is one of my favorites. You gals were so young in that video playing for your Papaw and skinny as two whippets. Keep those tunes coming please. It brings such joy hearing y'all play and sang together.
Well done. Love this. I am sure that your grandfather is smiling in Heaven and excited that one day your children will be playing these tunes. Thanks for sharing.
Yall we're so young how precious memories stay with us forever. Ladies y'all have a talent must would love to have don't stop playing sonething y'all can teach your kid's since music is such a big part of your family. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your family God bless y'all.
I love that tune!! Thank you so much for sharing the older footage, it was a lot of fun to see 😀 I am always so grateful when I get to hear the two of you play music 🙂
I don't know how I missed this when it first came out, buy I"m glad I've found it now. I, too, was a many-time Dance Musicians' Week attendee, about 12 times, including the 1st back in 1997? I probably danced with you both when you were wee lasses in the class. I bought at least three copies of the book and gave away two as presents. David was a mighty beacon in my musical life! Thank you so much for doing this video (& so many others).
It is also amazing how -- when you were younger -- the two of you looked SO MUCH alike! Very hard to tell the difference! (This is common with twins, as they grow older, they tend to develop their own little identities even when they are identical!)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tune! Does it have a name? I’m sorry if you said and I missed that. This tune just gives my heart joy. ❤️ I am Scots and Irish and English ancestry and there is something that happens inside me when I hear music like this and especially the Riverdance-type music-some kind of strange joy wells up in my spirit and I can hardly contain myself. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talents with us and the encouraging hymn! So full of faith and gratitude and thankful for your walk with the Lord and love of family and the right things in life. Always keep your faith! It’s an outstanding example even to those much older than you! Blessings to you all. May the Lord give you peace when you feel sad missing dear ones, and rest in the joyful hope of one day being reunited with them! ❤️
Today I found a lost pic of my grandpa holding me newborn. He has been gone since 1970. We are some fortunate women to have had such wonderful grandpas in our lives. I love this picture because he has no cap on, and his farmer suntan really shows in the photo, which is for my family, are rare color shot.
Beautiful music, y’all are so very talented. I could listen to guitars and fiddles all day. Prayers of comfort for y’all as you think about your grandpa. I know you cherish those memories. It’s so good to see you keep his memory alive in your music. My grandpa passed when I was 19, he taught me how to grow a garden. It seems like sometimes I feel him with me when I’m in my garden, I imagine y’all feel the same about your grandpa when you play. God bless you.
It's interesting to hear the difference between the Blind Pig and the Acorn recording eight years ago and how you play now. Love both. Keep playing together. Hope the boys learn to play instruments and carry on traditions.
I really enjoy your music and the devotional videos so much. They have encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. Keeping you both in my prayers as you journey through motherhood. Please pray for Joann, my Mom who has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Ya'll are all over that first tune. I could almost picture Captain Jack Sparrow. Update: fast forward, how's Mama Katie and baby doing? I hope and pray alls well. With you as well, Corie. Love, from... by now, you know where.
If you two switched instruments on that older video I don’t know that I could guess who’s who!!! 😅especially from a side profile of your faces and both of you with your hair tied back 😂. Such a Great video-loved the tune💕I check on the daily if a new video has posted. The way most things are going in the world today…your wholesome, God fearing, and uplifting channel does much more for people than you can imagine. I respect the fact that you may not be showing your little ones too much on the channel-which is totally understandable but just knowing there’s a little guy already here and Corie/Austins coming soon is uplifting and exciting still the same. Hugs from AZ ladies. May God continue to bless and keep you and yours 🙏🏼🙂🤗
My husband and i enjoy listening to you ladies play. My great, great uncle played drums for Merle Haggard, and open concerts with Roy Clark and a few other old timers in the past. You both are such blessing❤️
Thank you for sharing this with all of us. How beautiful is the legacy that your grandfather left with the two of you, that in time will be passed on to his great grandsons. Priceless!!
TOTALLY AMAZING that you ladies can do all this and don't read music!!! That is the kind of talent that keeps old brains young, using memory like that. Corie, I am enjoying watching the progress on the new house, love! So much fun watching without the sweat! So glad you have a small village of good help to make it more fun!
Hi y'all. Thanks for sharing this music video, I just love to hear y'all play. That was a really sweet tribute to your grandpa. Y'all are such talented musicians along with the rest of your family. Keep those tunes Rolling.❤

I love that tune but never knew the title, a silly one at that😊 love how your family keeps loved ones memories ever present! My dad passed on April 1 35yrs ago and mom turns 91 April 19! ( thanks for the prayers , she’s home from the hospital after pneumonia and heart trouble)❤

Watching these old videos with your newer ones, I've noticed you girls have this way of communicating with your eyes when you play that is really cool to witness.
I am a guitar player, but I love the sound of the fiddle.
Oh my I hadn't seen this video of Pap singing..This is beautiful their voices were so good together.
