Another homesteader got some mosquito fish to help control all the mosquitoes. Just set up like a large flower pot without the drainage holes and did an aquarium type thing. Imma gonna look into that to set up in the spring because yeah, this year has been ssoooo unpleasant. Can't wait until a good cold snap kills them off and I can sit on my patio again....even if I need a blanket to do so.

Now,so they stop biting you ,you can mix eucalyptus and or lavender in 4-6oz dpray bottle with a base oil or rubbing alcohol ,spray all over you before you walk outside. You’re in luck!… I happen to be a medical provider and I’m mastering my herbalism skills. I try to feature an easy to grow medicinal plant monthly on my channel, explaining its benefits and how to use it. I consume lemongrass as a tea, either fresh or in a dehydrated state.

Girl, my garden is wild kingdom right now! I’ve got volunteers everywhere, weeds, dead plants. It looks like a jungle! I started cleaning up yesterday. It’s been too hot or I’ve been too busy with work.
The lemongrass is so good to cook with! I just made a Lemongrass Coconut Curry with Butternut Squash and it was sooo yummy 😋 The lemongrass was a nice touch 🎋 You can harvest them, cut them up and freeze them to use for soups and stews and tea and stir fry’s. You’re gonna love it ☺️
If you harvest your lemon balm and make a tincture it's great for allergies during the Spring season go look at the vlogger she is of the woods she's an excellent source of information when it comes to herbs and their medicinal uses
Hello Asia, this is another great episode. Glad to hear that you are back and feeling better from being unwell. I hope you enjoyed your vacation. With timestamp {24:57} that yucky brown blob growth thing... I have tried to research it for you, and there is nothing that looks like it, that I could find. So it could be an older form of that white stuff, I found for you last time. I would say, cut that stem off, bag it and toss it into your regular waste bin. Then if you have some powdered cinnamon in a jar, cover the tip of that cut stem with the powdered cinnamon. {I treat all my plants with cinnamon when dealing with pruning {leaving an open cut to stems...or when dealing with diseases}. This has worked with my Orchids. Just remember to wipe your secateurs with disinfectant, afterwards...just for caution! Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day 🙏💐

The woodchips may be contributing to the mosquitoes. I got a drop this summer, and the mosquitoes got so much worse. A multi-attack approach is the only way I could be outside. Bug spray, citronella candles, fans and zappers.

I cut my lemon grass stalks to fit into snack sized ziplock bags and freeze them. I just pull them out as needed when I make soups, broths or tea.
