Here is some footage of the first trail ride on my new 2023 Maverick X3 DS base model with a few accessories added. Sadly the grizzly 700 has been traded in but here's to a new beginning and different experience riding the trails around Nova Scotia and beyond

I went from a Commander to a x3 very happy with it
Sweet new rig. I bought a side by side a few years ago and i love it so much more comfortable to ride in.

It's an Animal. Thanks man. I really hope this treats me as good as my other ATV's. I'm a big maintenance guy so hopefully that will help.

Look up Tusk accessories kit! They have a stage 1,2 and 3. 3 basically gives you everything needed for like 1200 bucks. 👍 had their kit on my rzr xp4 1000 it was great, and good quality stuff. My next ride will be a x3. Great video. Thanks for the review
Nice little trail bud. Just wanted to inform u also you can switch from 2x4 to 4x4 and back all while driving. Its switch on the fly. Hope you enjoy the machine. By far the best bang for your buck!
I got the same sxs 2023 x3 ds love that thing lots of fun plenty of power.
What hp do these have? And about top speed?
Great informative video. I been thinking of either this model or the commander xmr1000. I see your point of these been a money pit.
Just bought the exact same machine here in Oregon, I've been riding banshee's for a long time but last time out on the dunes I got into one of these and i was sold. Then again, I'm almost 70 and that damn sand is not getting any softer! Did you say accessories? yep, already on the hunt. I think I'll start with the minimum, windshield, top,bumper, and side view mirrors.
Well i hope im still going to be able to ride at 70, kudos for keeping at it. Im not a dune rider and other than much longer wheelbase, my X3 has been a fantastic woods ripper. I'll suggest setting the suspension up first and foremost on your machine. They come all kinds of screwed up and unadjusted from the factory. Ride height, H/M/S switch setting and crossover rings. Not too hard to figure out.

I’m here in NB. Just stopped at the local dealer and got a deposit on a ‘24 XDS In the new dark red/hyper silver Color. Very excited. Im also making the jump to a SxS after 24 years on ATV’s. Cheers!
Im liking the switch so far! Like you, i've put on tens of thousands of Km's on ATVS all my life, Id still like to have a fourwheeler in the mix to blast around on too but can't be greedy... at least that's what my wallet says.

Nice ride but at 47 I still love my ATV's Don't get me wrong one day I probably will get a side-by-side but not anytime soon.
Once this is paid in a few years, I'll be looking again at ATVs Garunteed. They are just too much fun. This is something different i wanted to try and the timing was pretty good.
Is this the ds turbo or turbo rr?
How’s the cab noise, engine ,cvt, do you have to scream at each other to have a conversation
There is still some engine and clutch noises present in the 2023 models but NOTHING like the older 2022's that don't have the P Drive clutch. My P drive clutch is not whiney like those ones.
Conversations can be held very easily in the cab and we always wear helmets as well.
I’d a stuck with the Yamaha
If Yamaha had a low range in their YXZ, or a twin cylinder in their new Grizzly i would have too....16 years of the same Yamaha product releases with "bold new colors" doesn't do it for me anymore.
@@ruyguy8888 yup true will say I’d like to see a grizzly 850 or 1000 twin still can’t beat the reliability of the grizzly 700 tho

lol Yeah i get that. I've stuck with Yamaha for a very long time and put tens of thousands of KMs on them over the years. I just wanted to try something new. If Yamaha made the YXZ with a low range transmission, i would have been all over that in an instant

Nice!! When u made the turn with the stick marking the deep water thought that was heading towards Tomahawk Lake. So did someone paint over a carving? No respect at all.
The Tamahawk carving hasn't been painted over, but there is stupid high school "AJ loves ME Forever" bullshit spraypainted besde it. Just a bunch of kids destroying a beautifully carved rock, taking a picture then leaving. I also found a bunch of beer cans there and picked them up.

It's actually very quiet for a stock machine. Most of the noise you are hearing in the video is from wind noise. If you keep the muffler stock, you can easily have a conversation in the cab.
