It’s interesting to see how fans were used and how people communicated with them. I often wondered what they were for 😂 maybe we should bring them back? Non verbal communication other than texting or instant messaging is lost nowadays! 🤷🏼♂️

Boy, dating was tough back in the day. If it's true 'All the Nice Girls Love a Sailor' i wonder if any of the ladies took up a second fan, and used semaphore. Might've been easier... Another fun, Interesting vid ladies.

I knew you could use a fan to flirt but I never realized there was an entire language you could “speak” with it! I mean, I feel like in the 90’s, the best way to get the hate message across if you had a fan would be to close the fan and swing it in a baseball bat like fashion at the head of your enemy. Lol

Love the episode! Tho, if I'm being honest in the Simsational Gent way, this partly reminds me of Valentine's day. You create a product or day, only to use it to boost sales. In the case of this fan, this also boosted the concept of hierarchical societies. I haven't watched the show on Netflix but one of the main guys was on SNL last weekend... no wonder. Lol.

Well, the true message was “married.” We added the “bored” bit for a bit of fun! In all seriousness, the message could be construed in two ways: as a warning to back off or alternatively, as an invite to initiate an affair. Thank you for your question! 👍😄
