@@boydw1 We are working on it, but we're not sure if we will release them. It is hard right now to be able to get the components, we may have to focus on assuring the CAIXA 104 availability.
I pretty much like the idea! Very nice case finish and bunch of useful functions. Good job! It doesn't have MIDI/USB, which is a bit pity. However one small module can fix that. Nice jam SynthDad!
@@SynthDad We discarded MIDI because of two main reasons: 1- The digital component shortage. CAIXA wouldn't be a reality if we wanted to add MIDI in the utility row. 2- It would be really difficult to match every client needs respecting to MIDI. One would want clock, the other 2 voices, other CCs...
Regarding the cost, in addition to the €400-450 there's also power, which can cost another $100-300 if you are starting with an unpowered case like I did.
I love that they are integrated, and these seem very useful! I wish Intellijel would include either a stereo out, headphone out, or even midi 1u (as options) in their palette cases. Great review. Greetings from Texas!
Great video. As someone new but who already has a case, I would have totally gone with this and experimented with "Fun" mods first. I think this is highly worth it and I will recommend this to any newbies brave enough to ask me for my opinion. :D
Nice review and nice case Nano! I like the handle on top but think I would prefer all the connections on the top 1U row (including the power) if the top row is 'frozen' Love that you built all of the utilities into that 1U row....SynthDad is right on the money that newer modular-ists (like me) find that adding utilities to your case is a bit boring (even though they are so important) :)
In my opinion utilities are not boring though when I was new to modular I didn’t appreciate how important they are. Utilities are one of the things that make modular unique.
Well any friend of Jorb is a friend of mine! Did you have a chance to watch the video. I use the CAIXA case all the time because the 1U utilities are very…useful. Only thing I’d add is a dual VCA perhaps
@@SynthDad oh wait, I always get this confused, I'm new to Eurorack (I have a Doepfer "beauty" case). I basically want a version of this CAIXA case that fits the same number of modules this 3U 104hp version does, but is narrower and taller instead of being short and long/wide. So would that be 52hp / 6U?
Well everything would sell better if it was just a bit cheaper, but I think for what you get in this case (all of the modules) it’s a compelling price point
@@SynthDad The modules included should be not more 40-50 euros at most. You should always think about price compared to peoples wages. I get paid 250-300 a week, is it worth me working for 10 days 8 hours a day for a case? I just made my own for less then 60 quid. Its shame its not more accessible to people from poorer backgrounds. At least we got Behringer lol
@@SynthDad they are but it defeats the purpose of modular when the top row is not modular since you can’t move the individual components to another case if need be
That's the problem with people trying to make money in Modular, some of them are brilliant (check new modules from QuBit at the moment) and some others have just entry-level experience level. This is a good final year high school project but PLEASE DON'T TRY TO SELL IT LIKE IT IT WAS MADE BY A NOBEL PRIZE. Thank you (This is not your best video synthdad...)
Thanks for the video Mark, I think you understood what we had in mind doing CAIXA perfectly 🖤
You did a great job building this case - well done. Now about some ideas for the version 2 case :)
Would be great to see some variants of this case, say 4u (ideally 1u on the bottom for Steppy), 6u, 7u etc.
@@boydw1 I agree - and hopefully if the CAIXA is successful we’ll see future versions of it in other form factors
@@boydw1 We are working on it, but we're not sure if we will release them. It is hard right now to be able to get the components, we may have to focus on assuring the CAIXA 104 availability.
Perfect case. Would like to order it together with some NANO modules
Great details, really compelling for a lot of use cases... Got me thinkin!
If you total up the cost of the utility modules included it is a very good deal. Thanks for watching!
I pretty much like the idea! Very nice case finish and bunch of useful functions. Good job! It doesn't have MIDI/USB, which is a bit pity. However one small module can fix that.
Nice jam SynthDad!
Thanks Ihor! MIDI would be exactly the module I’d add to it, and that would make it a perfect case even for experienced modular-ists (is that a word?)
@@SynthDad We discarded MIDI because of two main reasons:

That makes a lot of sense
Agree with you, it’s a beautiful case just wanna begin now and get this first😅 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 Dope jam Mark.
Hi Ihor ! Pls. Teach this fine gentleman a little music Lessons ✨🧐🕺✨

Thanks for watching and hello from Ireland!
This case feels like PRO version of NiftyCase. Great Job NANO Modules!
That’s a really good way of putting it!
@@SynthDad I mean there is nothing wrong with nifty it's great. But this is next level.

Wow,,...I love this type of case for sure...i love it. Great design and compact. Love the handle on top...👍
The handle is my favourite feature on it funny enough!
So is it possible to sync with the lfos? Meaning sontrolling the tempo of them with external clock-cv
No unfortunately they're free running LFOs
Though you could put them into the S&H and then clock-sync sampling them as a work-around
In my opinion utilities are not boring though when I was new to modular I didn’t appreciate how important they are. Utilities are one of the things that make modular unique.
Absolutely- utilities are what make the other modules shine!
I preordered a Stolper beats. Cant wait to get my hands on it.
Jorb brought me here, and I'm wondering what the 1U are to see if it's worth the dosh.
Well any friend of Jorb is a friend of mine! Did you have a chance to watch the video. I use the CAIXA case all the time because the 1U utilities are very…useful. Only thing I’d add is a dual VCA perhaps
Its a shame it doesn't have a lid to close it. I wouldn't take it outside without any kind of protection for the modules
Good point
I wish there was a 104hp case in 6U so it's not as wide.
But wouldn't it be just as wide as this one? But I agree, a 6U version of this case would be awesome

200 euros less and it would be a best selling case. Its hard for a newbie to spend 600 euros on just a case.

Cool, Id be interested in a 7u version I think.
That would be a fantastic idea I think
The fact that they are integrated as a single unit is negative in my eyes since it prevents you from using them in another case or swapping them out.
True, but in reality these are the key utilities almost every patch needs

Thanks for the feedback
So they gave you this for free ? Where is your garbage can ?
They did indeed, I happen to like it a lot and use it every day.
Besides the terrible music , its a nice case , and a fine , straight Up - No nonsense , little overview,-
Wow harsh feedback. Glad you like the case though
Your music is terrible @mikkelgrumbovin
Please don’t do these useless reviews… 😢
How is this a useless review? Happy to take feedback
What is the power capacity and how many Modules can one connect to the case? Thanks for your input, I appreciate it very much.💡🎵🎛🤙🏽💥
It has 18 power headers and you can get 1.25A on the +12v rail
