    I worked on these and loved them. I found that because of my hands and eye sight I had a really tough time with the leaves, but what I realized is no two leaves on a tree are ever identical. So I have different leaves for every apple and I changed up how I bring the slip stitch back down the leave some are right down the center, some are on the side, some are not straight some are on the back side, so it changes the leaves up for each apple. Secondly I made some of the stems a bit longer and some shorter. With a couple of more stitches added the stem will curl up and look like a real stem. I love the 3-d look that these now put out. Thank you so much for your great explanation in doing these. I can't read a pattern and make it come out, so this has been wonderful and these will now go in the Christmas package for my grandkids for their teachers this year. Thank you so much.

      Aww that's lovely! I love your idea of keeping things natural as you are so right, nothing in nature is perfect and that's what makes it so beautiful. I'm so glad you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope your grand kid's teachers enjoy them!

    I made two sets of green ones for other people (4 each). My daughter really liked them and I lost my favorite crochet hook, who knows, so I made hers white insides with a red 5th row. They came out larger and because they use a lot of bowls in the microwave these came out perfect to act as bowl holders (after microwave) she loves them and now asked me to make 2 more of the white ones with the red skin and two of the red ones to act as the outside of the apple She has an older napkin holder that is copper colored and weathered so the outside two are red and when you select one from the center it looks like an apple slice. Two ladies who came in have now asked me to make them a set. LOL... It's Christmas what the heck this I am certain are going to get plenty of use. I am delighted! Thank you so much.... makes me feel good. With Fibro and Cancer I felt like I would not have much to contribute this year and you gave me an opportunity to even though I am in massive pain to feel part of.. Thanks so much!

    I made 3 sets of coasters with this pattern, all of them are super cute!! Only one set is apples though, the other 2 sets are pumpkins.
    All I did to make the pumpkins was use a different color, and instead of chaining 6 for the stem, I chained 4 and slipped down as normal, and omitted the leaves.

    Easy to follow tutorial. I did find I had to use a marker though for the first two chains, or I'd completely lose which one was the first stitch (I just used a safety pin). Thank you very much for the tutorial, even four years later =)

    thank you very much I enjoyed your apple tutorial, just wished you use a lighter color than red where it is easier to see especially if it is a tutorial. Thank you very much. I did green colour now will try to do red cause now I have a lighter colour to copy.
    Would you be able to do more tutorial s on fruit design coasters, such as pear, orange, grapes and tulip flower coasters? Looking forward to this next tutorials. Many, many thanks for your tutorials and sharing them to us.

    Any way of making this bigger an turn it into a potholder?

    • @HappyBerryCrochet
      @HappyBerryCrochet  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      HannaMadeIt You could continue the circle shape at the beginning until you have a larger circle and then make the apple shape but you would need a different pattern really.
