Ahhh.... At @0:28 you are riding bus 5. Our neighborhood bus. 💞 At @0:32 bakery at least used to be in the first floor of the building with scaffolding beside it. I got a photo of a funny sticker on the glass.... showed "air planes not allowed to crash". Down the North end of that Parda tänav, on the other side of Narva mnt, is a building crossing the road with large letters on it.... WTC Tallinn. So I snapped a photo of that also. Photo pair significant to 9/11 and the planes crashing. At @0:47 this brick building I remember is some sort of music school. At @1:52 oh they finally tore that old building down there. That property was deserted and for sale at least since 2006. At @2:10 J Poska bus stop... and behind the shopping center is hiding a beautiful historic house which has been repaired nicely. At @2:58 Eesti Ajaloomuuseum (Estonian History Museum) nice place to visit. At @3:12 old Soviet monument and at @3:13 Maarjamäe Kommunismiohvrite Memoriaal (Maarjamäe Memorial to the Victims of Communism). Lovely memories of home. Suur aitäh!
Tere! Yeah, I took the number 5 bus 😊I got off at the Tamme stop. The bakery and Narva café are still there, a very popular place 😋Airplanes must not crash - very attentive of you 😄👌Many thanks for naming important buildings! 👍The music and ballet school are now in the same building on Pärnu Road. Head soovid Tallinnast!
@@tiina777 Tere Tiina, That Narva café memory of the "air planes not allowed to crash" sticker, that was either 2006 or 2009 visit home. One thing you seem to have not captured is when the Pirita tee passes Lauluväljak. I had known "Estonia sang its way to freedom from USSR" since 1996. So 10 years already our 2006 trip. Always before my brain surgery, we would pass it going down Pirita tee, and I would think to myself "hum, ho, there is Estonian song festival shell".... and nothing else. AFTER brain surgery, then first jigsaw puzzle I worked was of the Estonian Song and Dance Festival. A cousin gifted us with the puzzle during that 2006 visit. (It was noted that jigsaw puzzles assist people recover from brain surgery. So, like I said, that puzzle was FIRST.) I deeply wanted to be at an Estonian Song Festival from the point of working that jigsaw puzzle! 🥳 2009 was the first opportunity. Ema purchased family tickets to "both" events. I remember arriving in Estonia, she said what she had done, and immediately I was puzzled.... "Both events?" I had not realized that the dancers I had also put the puzzle pieces together for were a totally separate event! 2009 opening dance, Algumeri...... ohhhhhhh..... THAT dance set very high my expectation of what an Estonian Dance Festival is to be! 🥳💞 "It was just so perfect." That is the only English words to begin to describe it. And we have not been to another Estonian Song and Dance Festival since. In 2018, bank got their new Wire payment transfer software system.... that blocked our trip home that year. And on and on the conflicts have gone. Our 2012 Winter trip to Estonia, then we got to go sledding inside the Lauluväljak grounds! 😎 Good memories.... of Estonia and family.... 💞
@@pianoman4Jesus Tere-tere Agreed, I left out the Song Festival Grounds during the drive. It's a little further from the road and the light reflection is especially strong there. I sometimes try to capture it on video 👌 But I have videos of the women's race there and the snowy winter at the Song Festival Grounds 😊 Thank you very much for sharing your warm memories of Estonia and family 💞 I hope you have the opportunity to visit Estonia again someday!
@@tiina777 "I hope you have the opportunity to visit Estonia again someday!" I say that: "My heart stays in Estonia, and occasionally I get to visit it." Yes, I hope the same also. Thank you so much. Suur aitäh!
