    I recently picked up a Twin Power FE over this (was looking at 3000 in both), was a tough choice but TP gives me a bit more versatility for bigger boys.
    Curious to see what next years excense looks like or 2026s Stella. Will be looking to upgrade my 4000/5000 reel so will likely chose one of those two models or another TP FE

    It's so cool, Ordered the 4000 and it's coming tomorrow. I will be casting from the beach the day after tomorrow. Can't bloody wait 😂

      The 4000 should make for an excellent light shore jigging reel, thanks for watching

    "What is this marbling, almost looks like carbon fibre"... That would be because it IS carbon fibre 😆.
    Most brands keep the raw look and just give it a glossy coating, Daiwa did it in the rotors of all their higher end light reels from 2015 onward (bar the 2017 gekkaex/steez/pressoltd trio) and only stopped with the 22 Exist and 23 Airity. Many supercar brands do it also trimming the interior with raw carbon for asthetics as well as the exterior with things like the diffuser and side door mirrors etc. I think its the most premium looking thing of the new Vanquish haha, but I can definitely see how it would be a surprise having never seen it before!
    All in all though great video man, definitely one of the better reviews out there and probably the only good one so far in english, hope it treats you well and you smash a few good fish.👌

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I gathered it would be carbon, theres just no info on it that I could find before making the purchase anyway. Thanks man, glad you liked it. 👍

    Thx mate Greece here , i use 16 and 19 vanquish for spinning and thinking to get the new 2k for ajing/lrf mainly jigheads paired with a shorty rod of around 50gr ...

      They are a great finesse reel so should be good for an ajing setup

    How would you compare the Vanquish to the Twin Power XD? Torn between these two reels. Thanks!

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Easy, Vanquish for finesse fishing and Twin power for bigger blue water species. Twin power xd is only made in 3000 size and up, so its made for larger species.

    Appreciate the up-load & time informative, i get all my reels from japan ( Digitaka or Plat ) I have had no issue @ all - I fish freshwater - was looking @ the Vanquish , same weight as my 23 Airity- and that's silky smooth reel . If you get a chance consider " Varivas - Avani -Saltwater Finesse X8 " ( 0.3 - (7Lb) Diam 0.090 mm or 0.4 -(9.2 Lb) Diam 0.104mm ) switched over from Sunline castaway - and effortless and no issue line .....would like your feed back on this , Cheers and keep up the good work !

      Hey mate. Yeah same here, Ive imported most of my reels. I perform my own maintenance and have never had any big issues. Line roller corroded once on the vanford and it was an easy fix. I would have paid Shimano the same if not more for them to do it. I use varivas avani casting PE on my medium shore jigging setup. But I will take a look at that saltwater finesse.
      The vanquish is a great feeling reel with an awesome appearance. Id definitely recommend it if you can afford it. I would love to see a comparison between the airity and the vanquish.

      Japan tackle heaven JDM they got some great stuff to when they ship your rods and reels they protect your equipment. Plus they give you a free Luer when you buy a reel

    Thanks for the vid, good to see an Aussie one. How's the startup inertia on it? As good as the Vanford?

    • @GoldenHourFishing

      They both have mgl rotors, feels the same to me but the Vanquish feels better build quality in the hand

      I prefer them. No need for backing. 150 yards of 0.6 and you are good to go. No fuss.

      @@GoldenHourFishingthanks mate, going to grab one for my light bream set up. I’ve already got a new twin power (probably going to get a second one too) but the vanquish seems even better, can’t wait to chase some bream.

    😅What do you fish with this reel what do you think about the C3000XG for bass fishing or is this model here just as good I was thinking about the C3000XG

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use this as a bream reel (yellowfin bream for you stateside guys) but have pulled in much larger fish. What type of bass are you looking to target with it.

    • @raymondjohnson6496

    It’s interesting they have incorporated the little line guide fin on the bail arm I’ve modded reel to do that exact thing! a micro daiwa laguna 1000 about 10 years ago

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is used as my light soft plastics setup
      Shimano Tcurve Premium 7ft 2-5kg
      23 Shimano Vanquish S2500HG
      Varivas Max Power 0.6
      Throw mostly 1/16, 1/20 and maybe 1/8 in deeper water. Size #2 as Im mostly using this for bream but it can definitely handle bigger fish as you can see in my recent videos.

    Can I use any of the vanquish models for both fresh and salt water ??

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes of course, its an MGL body and also has X protect. Shimano Japan also specifically states "Saltwater Ok" on the Vanquish product page.

    Do you have a mega bass windbuster rod for this reel wondering if this reel is to light for that rod

    • @GoldenHourFishing
      @GoldenHourFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      No local stores sell megabass rods here as it is a JDM rod, we do have some but Im yet to see a walk in store that you can buy megabass rods from. I dont import rods because the shipping is crazy and likely to get damaged. If they make that rod in a 2-3kgs or a 2-4kgs it should pair fine with this reel in the 2500 size.

    oi i got the vanford and vanquish. Both trash, the exist is clear. If you want it warranty and service for that price you shouldnt pay that premium for none of the after care. Thats cheapo from Shimano and a bad purchase (from me anyway). The inability to service is even worse considering I may wash my reels however the reel still needs upkeep if you fish 3-7 times a week. Shit reel and company imo

      An exist from Daiwa is not a reel you can service yourself, you will have to send it back to Daiwa.

      You clearly are totally clueless and I do not intend to be rude in any way. Please do not deceive people on the Internet with your baseless claims.
      I hardly doubt that you have the reels in question as a person who actually owns more than a few of them.
      I hope you get your hands on them some day and use them accordingly.
