In my opinion Silver isn't The Villain of the Film He's the Primary Antagonist, but honestly there's so many redeeming qualities within the man that dispite him torching the benbo, and being a ruthless pirate... He's less of a villain and just sits as an antagoinist where it's the treasure itself is the villain.
This is a beautifully done Analysis video on one of the best characters ever. Silver is one of the coolest pirate characters because he was not a villain. He is an antagonist, but he's a pirate with a moral code and he serves as a father figure to Jim Hawkins. "Treasure Planet" really is my favorite interpretations of "Treasure island" because it shows more of Silver's redemption arc and him being present for Jim.
THANK YOU i recall the movie not being very well received by audiences at the time and even to this day i find that it often gets brushed aside by a lot of other critics/reveiwers. dont get me wrong, i see a few flaws in the film itself, but the character dymanic between silver and jim is just so genuinely perfect to me that i cant help but remember the film as a whole more fondly because of it. silver is one of my favorite characters of all time, so it was such a breath of fresh air to see him get his due. thank you again, take my sub homie
Im a little peeved, there's a scrapped 2nd movie that was partly written at least. Jim is in the academy, love interest in a female classmate and lots of trouble. While running from immediate trouble Jim bumps into Silver thats trying to sell a weapon. The love interest looses trust due to Silver and Silver winds up using the weapon to save Jim.
Im really glad people are starting to appreciate teasure planet more, seems like people would ratger forget about it yet its probably one of the best disney movies ive ever seen
Silver had such a wonderful character arc in this story, and has to be one of the best interpretations of his character ever.
100% bro! I know you would appreciate the video!

Brian Murray was one of the best to ever do it rip.
Aye his performance was amazing. Especially considering he was mainly a theatre actor!
I've been simping ovr this character for roughly 2 years now and I don't plan on putting him anywhere that isn't the number one spot.
Awesome! So you shouldn’t! He doesn’t belong anywhere else! Hope you enjoyed the video!
