Also using color changing LEDs and a few drops of food coloring, again your choice of color, to the water will give it a very unique look. Of course you would require a pump that delivers more GPM but it would be worth it.

But if you cut a v-shaped wedge and then bend the the tube to close the wedge up, the tube will not kink. From there seal the tube, and you are done. Side note: the buckling effect will happen in other materials also. Steel, copper, plastic, gets will all exhibit this behaviour to some extent. A tube can be heated to allow for shaper bends. For plastic tubing a cigarette lighter could be used to gently heat the tube untill you reach the correct bend.

Anyway, in America, one would have to find a similar pump at 120 Vac before starting this project. I would also use my drill press for the holes, tho the soldering iron did OK.
