  • Caller asks Rabbi Tovia Singer an intriguing question: Was the Jeremiah a contemporary of the Ezra, and did he accuse scribes of maliciously employing a ‘lying pen’ to corrupt the Torah 2,500 years ago?

The first time I read Yermeyahu I became so frustrated because it was hard to follow who was talking to whom and what was actually happening in each chapter so, I read it again, and again and again and again and prayed for a lot of guidance and read it carefully again and again. Now years later I continue to read it and still marvel at how much trust Yermeyahu had to have in the Father to get through each and every day. It's funny that you (Rabbi Singer) say to toss the TV because after reading Yermeyahu, I not only tossed the TV but, I also tossed all the objects I've collected over the years in my life travels. Most everything that I had collected and dusted for years went into the trash along with the Christmas tree, Easter decorations, and ALL man-made tradition/ religion. It all went into the trash. I chose to live by every word from the Torah Prophets and Psalms and have never been so happy every single day. I love Yermeyahu and all the prophets dearly and pray that should troubles come and seem insurmountable that I too can always remember to trust in Yah. Thank you so much for this lesson. I had to smile as you said how much you would like to talk to Yermeyahu one day. Me too. Blessings to you and yours. ❣️

I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to Rabbi Tovia Singer. About 15 years ago, my conservative Jewish college roommate lent me a set of Rabbi Tovia Singer's cassette tapes. I found the tapes so incredibly interesting and addictive that I eventually became orthodox Jewish myself complete with Sabbath observance & daily Tefillin and tzitzit wearing. The funny thing is that I became even more "Jewish" & religiously observant than my "Jewish" roommate ever was, and I finally convinced my old roommate to start wearing Tefillin. Again, my sincerest gratitude goes out to Rabbi Tovia Singer.

D.H.---The correct spelling for the Hebrew Bible is TANAKH...T=Torah...N= Neviim (Prophets) ...KH= Khetuvim (The Writings). You must be steeped in Torah and Mishnah and Kabbalah...do not bandy words, holy things and misspell them. Jews and good Christians like yourself are bound mystically...it is becoming CLEAR as the Gog/Magog war is FAST approaching...and we Jews must admit that Christian eschatology was right on the nose; As Yisrael begins to fight the Russian Bear, China...which looks imminent, America would be destroyed...this, I can scarcely say it, also seems to be shifting into high gear.
My fellow Jews---I am speaking of normative, traditional Judaism...We must be ready to say "Our Christian sister faith filled in some blanks so that we might rely on one another."
To my Christian friends; Take steps back from Paul...that is where the chasm between Jews and it's sect (at the time) who followed the Nazarene Yeshua began. Paul broke faith with the Jewish faith. Pray on that.
Truly, we are the generation who will witness wondrous things!! Baruch hu uv'aruch Shemoh!!

Eugenia Lesiuk in section 18 of Epiphanius’s Panarion it’s recorded that there was an ancient Jewish sect called the “Nasaraeans” who believed that the Torah had been corrupted and that the main corruption was the introduction of the phenomenon we call animal sacrifice. If you read Jeremiah chapter 7 again along with 8:8 it becomes very obvious that Jeremiah was a member of that sect.

@Abraham Mani The story of messiah David in Tanakh Jewish Scripture has the purpose of teaching that when a human makes even the greatest imaginable sins God will forgive all your sins if you repent and ask God for forgiveness in the following way.
      .
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a righteous man on earth, who continually does good and who never sins (meaning even the good person sometimes makes mistakes because only God makes no mistakes).
Note 1. A righteous man sins many times but he is righteous because he corrects himself and returns to righteous behaviour.
      .
Proverbs 24:16 For though the righteous person falls seven times, he will arise (and return to righteous behaviour), but the wicked stumble under adversity (and return to wicked behaviour).
Note 1. Righteous people make mistakes but they are righteous because they return to righteous behaviour.
Note 2. Righteous people learn from their mistakes to do good behaviour.
Wicked people learn from their mistakes to do wicked behaviour.
      .
Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all My commandments, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live (in Paradise), he shall not die (a never ending death in Hell fire).
      .
Ezekiel 18:22 None of his transgressions (wrongdoing) that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for his righteousness that he has done he shall live (in Paradise).
      .
Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die (a never ending death in Hell fire)? said the Lord God; and not rather that he should return from his ways (of wicked behaviour), and live (in Paradise)?
Note 1. God offers Paradise to everyone who abandons bad behaviour and replaces it with good behaviour because God has no pleasure in sending anyone to Hell fire
      .
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, said the LORD; though your sins be as scarlet (very great), they shall be as white as snow (completely forgiven); though they be red like crimson (very great), they shall be as wool (completely forgiven).
Note 1. God forgave all the sins of Adam.
      .
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the man of wrongdoing (forsake) his (evil) thoughts; and let him return to the LORD (God) that He (God) may have mercy on them, and (to whoever turns) to our God, for He (God) will abundantly pardon (them who turn away from wickedness).
      .
Hosea 14:3 Take with you words (of prayer to God), and return to the LORD; say to Him (God), “Forgive all (our) wrongdoing, and accept that which is good (from our good deeds in Ezekiel 18:20 - 18:23); so will we give for bullocks (sacrifice) the offering of our lips (meaning instead of offering the blood sacrifice of bullocks God tells us the forgiveness of sin comes from the offering of the lips meaning ask God for forgiveness and replace bad behaviour with good behaviour in Micah 6:6 - 6:8).
Note 1. God does not want sacrifices but God wants you to ask Him for forgiveness.
      .
Micah 6:6 'With what shall I come before the LORD and bow myself before the most high God? Shall I come before Him with burnt-offerings, with one year old calves?
Note 1. God does not want sacrifices but God wants you to ask Him for forgiveness.
      .
Micah 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams (as a sacrifice) and ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born (child as a sacrifice) for my wrongdoing, (my first-born who is) the fruit of my body for the sin (the wrongdoing) of my soul?'
Note 1. God does not want animal or human sacrifices but God wants you to ask Him for forgiveness.
      .
Micah 6:8 It has been told to you O man, what is good and what the LORD does require of you: only to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God (in Ezekiel 18:20 - 18:23 and Hosea 6:6, Hosea 14:2 - 14:3 and 1 Kings 8:46 - 8:50 meaning the forgiveness of sin comes not from sacrifice but from asking God for forgiveness and replacing bad behaviour with good behaviour).

Love Jeremiah..the weeping prophet that wept not only tears but pained physically, over the destruction to come, but worst of all the opposition he had to endure from his own. Thank you rabbi for the explanation.
No, I had no doubt it does not mean the Torah is corrupted, but since all I can read is a translated version, wanted to hear what it says in its original language.
At least in this case the English seems to convey it well ..? "the false pen.. handled it falsely", Best God ever, best law ever, best promises ever and they interpreted it wrong, they interpreted their circumstances wrong and came to the wrong conclusions, coming to a horrible end, dragging the righteous with them.
Got to love, though, the favor that God gave Jeremiah even in those adverse situation... Got to love God's favor even in a pit for it is the sweetest reward, sweeter than any comfort you might enjoy. Thanks again and blessings!

The related passage that I've seen twisted with this is Jer 7:22,23.
[Jer 7:22-23 KJV] 22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: 23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
    What do the twisters say?
Torah never had commandments for the sacrifices nor to eat meat.
The twisters never pay attention to context or HISTORY.
They take one or two verses out of an entire book and make their presupposition the "truth".
Once someone believes they possess truth, you will never be able to knock that tower down - only Hashem can.

@Abraham Mani: See my previous reply. NOWHERE did God ever mention the name "Yeshua/Jesus" to us - this is a Christian fabrication and does NOT represent what God ACTUALLY said to us in the Hebrew scriptures He gave to Moses at Mt. Sinai. Not ONE word you said is God's Truth - He NEVER said ANY of those false, pagan things to us! I don't care HOW much Hebrew you think you know - you have been PROFOUNDLY hoodwinked and lied to by Christianity, that DID NOT come from God! Your "mother tongue" has NOT enabled you to learn God's ACTUAL Truth, as given to Moses at Mt. Sinai. You need to learn God's Truth from the Orthodox Jewish rabbis, the ONLY people eminently qualified to interpret the Hebrew scriptures for us - in fact, God TASKED them with this function (they replace the Priests, in the absence of the Temple), and they have been studying the original Biblical Hebrew, all the way back to Mt. Sinai (something Christianity REFUSED to do, leaving them in total darkness about what God ACTUALLY said to us!).
Also, a reminder: The "New Testament" is NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God. The ONLY scriptures God EVER gave to mankind, are the Hebrew scriptures (Tanach - Hebrew Bible, comprised of the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings, i.e. Psalms, Proverbs, etc.) that He gave to Moses at Mt. Sinai. PLEASE do the research for YOURSELF! God DOES NOT send His creations 'to Hell for eternity' (that is a fear mongering Christian fabrication), and God does NOT become His creations - EVER - and nowhere do the ETERNAL Hebrew scriptures tell us that He did! PLEASE do the research!!

There was a design on the wall and now that I think of it there was a copper scroll. One day religious people came to my house by mistake. Just as these people rang my doorbell I had lifted a writing pad where I had written down the passage in Jeremiah 15:20. This I had not understood when it was written perhaps years prior to this visit then I realised what my dream had meant. I was amazed that I lifted the answer to my dream just as these religious people arrived on my doorstep.

@Abraham Mani: I USED to believe all that garbage, until God opened my eyes and revealed that it is NOT His Truth - NOT even close! I was a born-again, baptized, Evangelical Baptist Christian for 40+ years, but I rejected that falsehood almost 18 yrs. ago, when God, as I said, revealed His ACTUAL Truth to me. Before you arrogantly and self-righteously tell me, as other 'Christians' have, that I was never a "REAL" Christian - that's NOT your call to make. YOU can't see into a person's heart and know what their relationship to God is. Keep that in mind!
What you need to acknowledge is, that, first of all the 'New Testament', is NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God, and NOWHERE do the ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) Hebrew scriptures tell us that God ever gave us a SECOND SET (i.e. NT) of scriptures. And PLEASE don't quote Jer. 31, which has zero to do with a "New Testament", but is referring to a miracle that God will perform for the Jewish people in the Messianic era, when He will place His Torah DIRECTLY into the hearts and minds of the Jewish people, so that they will no longer need to study and teach the Torah, since they will already KNOW it by heart because of the miracle God will perform in those days. "New covenant" in NO way equates to "New Testament" - NOT even close! Read the passage for yourself and you will see that what I've just told you is God's Truth. When God gave us His Hebrew scriptures at Mt. Sinai, He specifically told us NOT to follow ANY other teaching than what is in those scriptures. Christianity IS another teaching, therefore, we are NOT to follow what it says - God's orders!
God ABHORS human sacrifice (a purely PAGAN ritual!) therefore the 'Jesus dying on a cross for people's sins' narrative, just did NOT happen - and would CERTAINLY NOT be approved by God! Also, nowhere did God ever tell us that He sends His creations to "Hell for eternity", which is a Christian fabrication - that would make Him an evil, unforgiving MONSTER!! That is the 'god' YOU worship, but is NOT the God of the Jewish people and does NOT reflect what God said to us in His ETERNAL Hebrew scriptures. OUR God specifically tells us that we can approach Him DIRECTLY, confess our sins, repent of those sins, and ask Him for His forgiveness - no DEAD GUY on a cross required!!
PLEASE do the research on how your false, pagan religion started, and you WILL discover that it absolutely DID NOT come from God, Creator of the universe. Christianity has been outright LYING to us for thousands of years, and is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind. THIS is what you need to research for YOURSELF, and stop listening with "itching ears" to the "blind guides" who have been lying to you from the pulpit every week.

    • @janishart5128

Shalom. Tovia, what do you think of the book of Jasher in regards to what these people are discussing? Everything that is spoken of as far as the story goes with Ishmael and Isaac seems to match up with the exception of how the story twists with regards to the story of the Christian Bible on the purpose of the sacrifice. With regards to your video was the Babylonian Talmud being put to use during this time? If so could they have possibly have been trying to write some of these traditions and additions to Torah during this time as well? The way I understand Jeremiah with all the traps and snares spoken of is that the leaders were adding to Torah and God was constantly condemning them for it.

    • @john8048
      @john8048 7 ปีที่แล้ว

The way I understand it is that the Talmud, Mishrad added much to Torah which made it a burden in many ways, I have downloaded a version of it and over 3000 pages is more than the scriptures we have for us to read. I have read much and some of it way out of line with Torah... excerpt from Eruvin, 21b... "my son! Be careful concerning rabbinical decrees even more than the Torah... the Torah contains prohibitions... But anyone who violates a rabbinical decree is worthy of death." Here is Rambam's intro to Mishnah... If there are 1000 prophets, all of them the stature of Eliyah and Elisha, giving a certain interpretation, and 1001 rabbis, not according to the 1000 prophets, Elohim did not permit us to learn from the prophets, only from the rabbis who are men of logic and reason. Don't get me wrong as the writings of Paul from the Christian book seem to have taken away from Torah. I keep to Torah, as best I can, and listen what the the almighty has to say in Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32, and Proverbs 30:6... do not add or take away from His laws and commandments. Shalom

*Judith Carlone Levi:* The mind is a strange thing. If you want something badly enough your own mind will manufacture 'feelings' to confirm that what you wanted to experience, is 'truth', when in fact it may not be, and in this case, definitely is not, according to the scriptures. What we need to do, is find out for OURSELVES what God ACTUALLY said to us on Mt. Sinai, and not what fallible men ("blind guides") preach from their pulpits and pass off as the 'word of God', when in fact, nothing could be further from the Truth. We need to know for SURE: What did God ACTUALLY say to us?
What you need to realize, is that "Jesus" didn't say ONE word that is attributed to him in the false, pagan NT, since he was already DEAD for at least 20 YEARS by the time it was written. Yet they quote him word-for-word - impossible! Just try to remember what YOU said yesterday, word-for-word - again, impossible!

He also told us that we are NOT to follow ANY other teaching than what is in His Eternal Hebrew scriptures. Christianity IS another teaching, therefore we are NOT to follow its false, pagan message.
There is nowhere in the Hebrew scriptures where God told us to expect a SECOND SET of scriptures (i.e. the false, pagan NT) since the scriptures He already gave to us are, as I said, Eternal, and are therefore still in effect right this moment. Jer. 31 is NOT speaking about a "New Testament", but a "new covenant" - huge difference! That passage is referring to a miracle that God will perform for the Jewish people in Messianic times (i.e. hasn't happened yet!) where he will implant His Eternal Hebrew scriptures DIRECTLY into the hearts and minds of the Jewish people, so they will no longer have to study and teach the scriptures, because they will ALREADY know them by heart!

Rabbi Singer, how do you reach the conclusion you are teaching in this video? Has it all been documented and written down? I mean no disrespect, and please correct me if I am wrong....but didn't G-d send the Jews into exile because they did not keep his Sabbath (for many years)? How could the people neglect such an important law if it was being read aloud to them regularly? Was there perhaps false teachers who explained the importance away? Twisted the teaching? As an American, I see present politicians perverting the original meaning of the USA constitution on all sorts of issues. Who's to say there wasn't a period of time when corrupt rabbis, teachers, scribes, false prophets did similar things to the Torah or Tanach? G-d said not to add or take away from what is written ( Deuteronomy 4:2) which implies to me tampering ( by humans) is "possible". If it was impossible (for instance, if G-d were to strike anyone who "tried" dead with say a lightening bolt) then there would be no need for a warning correct? The warning is to discourage any tampering.....but does the warning actually prevent it? How would you know if a generation of bad men might have corrupted a couple of things or not? I'm not suggesting 50% error. I am not even suggesting 10% error. But what if maybe only 1% error occurred? You say these false prophets were local men of Israel, and were not merely foreigners who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. They had beards, would have been known by the people, having been raised there, their peers, neighbors would have known if their character was good or bad right? Makes no sense that men of previous good upbringing (good character) would suddenly seek to deceive everyone by becoming a "false prophet". On the other hand, if they were known to be bad examples, why would a majority of people believe them...over Jeremiah? If you have 2 people telling different things.....seems you would follow the person who has proven to be of good character. Knowing people do not typically change (a leopard can not change his spots) meaning a person of bad character does not typically change and become good. Makes no sense why people of Israel would follow or believe these false prophets over Jeremiah....and surely a man like Jeremiah who G-d would choose to use, would have had upstanding character that everyone would have already been aware of. Do you understand the point I am trying to make here? I come from a Christian background. However I do not see Jesus as being G-d or having abolished ANY of the laws of God. I see 2/3 of the Christian (new testament) as being corrupted by Paul. Whereas Paul taught against the law and blasphemed G-d and Moses, I don't see anyone else doing that. I reject ALL the writings of Paul. If as you say there were false prophets attempting to mislead the people (Jeremiah 8:8) then where were the Rabbi's? Why weren't the Rabbi's who had the Torah and Tanach telling the people NOT to listen to these false prophets....but to instead listen to Jeremiah?

    • @samvoron1727

The rabbis and the prophets spoke and the people made their own decisions.
You will see the same thing happened before the destruction of the first and second temple.
The rabbis and prophets deliver the word but it is up to the people to accept or reject the word.
The people sometimes rejected the word and it was at those times where we see the temples destroyed.
Rabbis and prophets are only human and they cannot turn evil people into righteous people.
Sometimes evil wins in this world but HaShem God Allah says the evil will not win in the hereafter.

I think your doing what many people do when they approach the scriptures, hindsight is 20/20. So we can critique based upon what we know...but we can disregard social norms of “that” time for our own, we do this a whole lot as Americans. At this time it’s known that the people moved with the “majority” rather than the minority, and if the majority say this is right, it doesn’t matter what the minority states even if that minority turns out to be right. This issue denotes the failover of the people in the resolution proposed by Jeremiah, the consistency of the Torah, if they had bothered to check between the opinions they would have found the proper answer, but they didn’t, they trusted in the “spirituality” of things rather than the rationality of Gods word. A false prophet is only revealed to be a false prophet after the prophesy fails. By the time the failure occurs it’s too late most times to reconcile, your going through already. The corruption of the Torah itself isn’t what is at point here, the corruption of Torah in this sense is in the “application” of the teachings of Torah. This is also considered Torah, both word and deed. I’m a Christian “so they call me”, I’m also one of those “speaking in tongues” folk that everyone critiques. And I also trust I the scriptures as interpreted by the Jews more so than the Greeks. They are the ones who wrote it. So I have learned to value Jewish rendering of Jewish Erin tings about Jewish understanding about God. And I have concluded Islam is a closer to Judaism than any Greek sources Christian thinker ever was or could be, and that I have a ton of learning to do to catch up. :)

I think it refers to both written and oral alteration but doesn't need to specify because it's about dealing with intended meaning and intention. For example, Muslims say as-salaam-alaykum (peace be on you) but there was a faction of Jews that would say it quickly so it came out like as-saam-alaykum (death be upon you). So Prophetic wisdom was not to curse in return but to simply mirror by saying 'wa-alaykum' (and upon you also) - so if your intention was for peace then peace to you and if you had anything else in your heart then more of the same 'good' to you either way.

      Clementine Homilies on this topic:
“For the Scriptures have had joined to them many falsehoods against God on this account.
The prophet Moses having by the order of God delivered the law, with the explanations, to certain chosen men, some seventy in number, in order that they also might instruct such of the people as chose, after a little the written law had added to it certain falsehoods contrary to the law of God, who made the heaven and the earth, and all things in them…
And this took place in reason and judgment, that those might be convicted who should dare to listen to the things written against God, and those who, through love towards Him, should not only disbelieve the things spoken against Him, but should not even endure to hear them at all, even if they should happen to be true, judging it much safer to incur danger with respect to religious faith, than to live with an evil conscience on account of blasphemous words.”
“Simon [Magus], therefore, as I learn, intends to come into public, and to speak of those chapters against God that are added to the Scriptures, for the sake of temptation, that he may seduce as many wretched ones as he can from the love of God.
*For we do not wish to say in public that these chapters are added to the Bible, since we should thereby perplex the unlearned multitudes, and so accomplish the purpose of this wicked Simon. For they not having yet the power of discerning, would flee from us as impious; or, as if not only the blasphemous chapters were false, they would even withdraw from the word.* Wherefore we are under a necessity of assenting to the false chapters, and putting questions in return to him concerning them, to draw him into a strait, and to give in private an explanation of the chapters that are spoken against God to the well-disposed after a trial of their faith"
*“Everything that is spoken or written against God is false.
But that we say this truly, not only for the sake of reputation, but for the sake of truth, I shall convince you when my discourse has proceeded a little further. Whence you, my most beloved Clement, ought not to be sorry at Simon's having interposed a day between this and the discussion. For today, before the discussion, you shall be instructed concerning the chapters added to the Scriptures; and then in the discussion concerning the only one and good God, the Maker also of the world, you ought not to be distracted. But in the discussion you will even wonder how impious men, overlooking the multitudes of things that are spoken in the Scriptures for God, and looking at those that are spoken against Him, gladly bring these forward; and thus the hearers, by reason of ignorance, believing the things against God, become outcasts from His kingdom. Wherefore you, by advantage of the postponement, learning the mystery of the Scriptures, and gaining the means of not sinning against God, will incomparably rejoice.”*

THE MEANING OF THE TORAH !!
It's not about distorting Torah. Torah is the record of Moses, and he is referring to the growth of the Annunciation and the new state. That is why there are prophets who illuminate and upgrade Torah. Understand Torah as a fixed dogma that is literally understood by the dungeon for those who remain in the spirit of the letter.
Yet Moses tells the Jews that the Law is actually written in the hearts of men. Literally reference to the Torah is a radical feature. On the other hand there are those who are lost in the interpretation of some of their human venom in alchemy terms until the magic of the kabbalah. Giving meaning to the letter as concealed meanings and code is deviation and reproach for those whom God himself set as punishment because they did not accept the simplicity of the truth of the human heart.
Torah as well as other records and books are just a means in Obav. They have the significance of the devoted important means but they themselves are not an interpretation.
The God of the Scriptures is the God of the Father, not the God of books, as they see, for example, in the Muslims, or in some Jews who perceive the Torah as the supreme dogma. Thus, publishers are neither books nor books, but persons, elected persons, ministries. Prophets, chosen people, etc. And not the book by itself. The books are later written records of the Post: The object is a living Word of God which is not limited by the letter, because neither the Spirit of God nor the unmistakable Word of God can be limited in the letter of the book.
That is why there are prophets that point to the depths of the meaning of Torah and the growth of the Objective whose object is the Messiah, which is the main theme of the Bible from the beginning, and only in this way can the context be seen from the beginning and the righteous separation of the Genesis book, for example. Remaining at the level of an old letter means being limited and in the darkness of ignorance. No offense, but today the Jews in prison are separated from the fullness of the Book. However, the Annunciation explains the meaning of this current state of punishment of punishment and announces the great conversion of the Jews at the very end, and in spite of all, they continue to be the Brothers for the fathers as the irrevocable God's gift and choice-

Glad for your conversion! But be careful !! do not take visions lightly even when they appear in the Name of the Lord. Don’t deal with demons and focus your attention on hope!
Looking at demons and states of hell can be a trap that develops fear and leads in the wrong direction of conversion. Insight into depth is the insight of the Court and the Judgment belongs to God and we are not able to carry that insight only after we are converted like those in milk. Satan is a defeated force and he becomes a power when we give it meaning ourselves and if we constantly look at him and the torture he does then it captures our attention and over time haunts us. Picturesquely, it means like when we walk along the shore and suddenly a terrible shark emerges. And we are terribly scared, but he is in the sea and we are in a dry area and in a dry area he has no power to capture us. So Watch and cultivate attention.
Fear is often the motive of those who bear guilt in conscience and strive for instant conversion and want to save themselves immediately by sitting in the first place, so the devil seduces them and convinces them that they are above others because they have visions but a newborn child cannot bear level of high visions. Isaiah: Who is he referring to in revelation? When does he teach that wisdom? Zarv children weaned from milk? Separated from the chest? '

The Torah is protected because God Allah HaShem has ordered every generation to follow it for 100,000 years meaning forever.
Torah Deuteronomy 5:10 And showing mercy to the thousandth generation of them that love Me (God) and keep My (God’s) commandments.

Jeremiah 8 :8 confirmed in the Quran
(An-Nisa'):46 - Namely the Jews, they change the words from their places. They said: "We heard", but we did not want to obey. And (they say too): "Listen" while you actually hear nothing. And (they say): "Raa'ina", by twisting her tongue and criticizing religion. If they had said: "We hear and obey, and listen, and pay attention to us", it would have been better for them and more appropriate, but Allah cursed them, because of their disbelief. They have no faith except very thin faith
    (Al-Baqarah):
78 - And among them there are those who are illiterate, do not know the Book (Torah), except for false stories and they only guess.
:79 - So woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, then say; "This is from Allah", (with a view) to gain a little profit by doing it. So great woe to them, the result of what their own hands have written, and great woe to them, because of what they did.

Rabbi, you can draw a list of inconsistencies in your Torah and Tanakh.
The Jewish People from Genesis to Micah always walked away from The Father and his Commandments, they almost always rebelled. Yes there was always a remnant that followed truth, but to say ALL Rabbi's, ALL Scribes, ALL Pharisees, ALL Sadusees walked the straight and narrow is NOT the truth.
Nothing is perfect. Only God is.
God also doesnt change his mind.
The Torah and Tanakh is full of stories saying: "Thus sayeth the Lord, when He did not say it. As He does not change His mind.
To say Judaism is PURE is not true, it is contaminated.
Neither is Christianity pure, it is contaminated.

Honestly, read Jeremiah 23:27 and Jeremiah 44:26 on top of Jeremiah 8:8.
Personally I don’t believe the name of Jeremiah itself as I don’t believe the names the scribes have put for the Creator inside the book.
Honestly, the creator himself was so fed up by the traitors of Judah that He said that they would no longer say His name. Good luck to find the name of the creator in the line of the Jews that are proudly descendants of the « wises ».
The true wise men are the « RaQa » people the one who have the front and the back of the head together. BaRaQaYa the scribe who is writing for the one they call Jeremiah whose name I believe is YaCHaYa is a RaQa ( Jews say that RaQa means fool by the way), the RaQa are commonly called rekabites and they don’t care about this world and wait for the new world with the new city, they are not people corruptible as they live in tents, have no land, don’t drink wine. Good luck corrupting such person to write something else than what is true concerning the Father of creation.
Anyhow, who are the scribes of today, the same than in the time of « Jeremiah », people who care about what other people think of them, about their pay check about not being kicked out of synagogues or churches or mosques.
Be aware time is coming when the lies from the scribes and the Pharisees will come out and it will stink real bad and the truth of « I Am » will shine again and His true Word will be seen and heard.
The plagues are at the door and the reverence for the name of the creator and His Word is about to be known once again, the gathering of the people of the Father of light from all the nations is about to start and the great second exodus too. So let us repent before the great day of judgment upon the earth and for those called to make it into the millennium, be truth seekers and stop trusting in men as it is a curse on anyone doing so.
Time is short, not many weeks of years are left until the revelation of the Son of man. Do you know the name of the creator ? Do you know the name of His Word aka His Son? (Proverb 30)
Just look at the letters and like a child find that there cannot be a nail (vav) in a loving creator whose name will last forever even when sin will no longer be at the end of this story we are in, at the and of the week of humanity, this whole sin and death and punishment for sin will be over, what is a nail needed for ??? Just look at what letters mean. Every letter is a symbol if the different symbols don’t add up with the meaning of the word just know : you have been lied right in front of your very eyes !!! Open your eye and wake up !!!

Instead of analysing every single letter of an old fashioned think tank of an old Nation which every Nation developped, in order to keep it together, you should recognize Jesus' message, that all men, of every Nation, are able to become the children of God, the one and only creator, by living a good Life, obeying the principles of His great Sermon in the mountain by the SEA of Galiläa!
To establish the Kingdom of god, He sent Jesus to save the world. Accept IT finally! Shalom!
*And IT IS of NO importance wether you call him Messiah, or son of Man, or son of god, or prophet or only Jesus of nazareth!*
You are stuck to letters of the Alphabet, and their numeric symbolism, you are being confused by materialistic thinking, instead of rejoycing gods Spirit in his creation and loving even your enemies, which had already been demanded by prophets before Jesus.

Need to be very careful with this question and answer especially the answer given by Tovia. A lot of other questions need to be asked and answered first. First.... who were the scribes? The scribes did creep in unaware, If you read the book of 1 chronicles the scribes use names familiar to us for the house of Judah but are not Judah of Israel. Yes scribes added things which created lies but you can catch them if you pay close attention and research everything. Ezra said that he looked across at all of the many priests that were present with him on his trip back to Jerusalem but there was not found even one Levite. According to Yahwehs laws and commandments only Levites could be Priests of his. Some other race had taken over the Priesthood! Confusion had crept in and was now Babylonian that merged into Hebrew and now had become Jewish. There teachings were the traditions of the elders that Jesus referred and that had replaced the Law of Moses. Today we call it the Talmud.

*nedeljko satora:* The Talmud teaches that God DID offer His Torah to the other nations BEFORE even offering it to the Jewish people. The nations questioned God as to what was in His Torah, and when they learned that they were forbidden to steal, murder and commit adultery, they rejected the Torah! When God offered His Torah to the Jewish people, they accepted it sight unseen, because they knew that because it was from God, it could only contain instructions for their good. Therefore they said "Na'aseh v'nishma" - "We will do, and we will hear." and they accepted to follow God's Eternal Hebrew scriptures and become a light to the nations.

What does the rabbi think of Nephi in the Book of Mormon? Supposedly the book of Nephi was written 600 years before Christ and predicted the destruction of the Jerusalem with its people being hauled off to Babylon. Nephi was told to flee the city and come to America In boats the Lord instructed them to build. The records were written on gold/brass plates and hidden in America. Joseph Smith found the gold plates and translated them into the Book of Mormon. I would hope the rabbi would be open minded enough not to dismiss these books before reading them. Also note that these books were translated from Egyptian cuneiform into English by Joseph Smith. So outdated words like biblica, could have been translated into modern day words like Bible. Someone had told me that they knew the book was fake because it contained the modern word Bible. But I was open enough to understand that the Book of Mormon is a translated book, not the original brass plates. What makes me believe Joseph Smith story is that until copper plates were discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls, nobody has ever heard of the Bible being printed on gold, copper or brass plates.

We know for a fact that Torah did change. The Dead Sea Scrolls the rabbi cites actually show this; the Book of Jeremiah for example is 1/7th longer today than in some of the Dead Sea Scroll manuscripts. There are also significant differences between the text we have today and the 1100 year old Aleppo Codex. All historical evidence suggests the Bible is a text like any other that evolved over time.

    • @ziggydeath9397

What you are ignoring is that the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in a place called a genizah. That is where old, worn out, and UNOFFICIAL (that is, scrolls which contain mistakes) are put. If they contain the name of G-d, they are placed in a cave and later buried _en masse_. This also goes for tefillin that are not made according to halacha, yet contain or contained scriptures in them.

    • @ziggydeath9397
      @ziggydeath9397 7 ปีที่แล้ว

The Aleppo Codex is not a Torah and it cannot be used to make a kosher Torah. It is a Masoretic manuscript which spells words differently than they are found in the Torah. Of all the different spellings, you will only find additions and deletions of what are called vowel-letters: Yud, Vav, Hei, Alef. In all the cases (82 in all in Leningrad Codex) - I cannot speak for the Aleppo Codex, since a great deal of it has been burned and destroyed before being digitized, but I can speak of the Leningrad Codex - there are minute alterations of extra letters which DO NOT change the meaning or pronunciation of ANY word in the Torah. For instance, let's say that I write the word Refidim missing a letter yud; this actually happens in the Torah frequently. In some places, a word is written in full spelling and in some cases the same word is written missing one or more vowel-letters. You can spell Refidim four ways without affecting the meaning and pronunciation: Resh-Pei-Yud-Dalet-Yud-Mem (in full), Resh-Pei-Dalet-Yud-Mem (missing first yud), Resh-Pei-Yud-Dalet-Mem (missing second yud), and Resh-Pei-Dalet-Mem (missing both yuds). The Masoretic text also includes the pronunciation of each word with additional vowel marks called nikkud and trope/cantillation marks which control the sense of a phrase. For instance, the English phrase can have two meaning based on the pauses or commas: "give me thirty two cent stamps". It can mean "give me 30 two-cent stamps" or "give me 32 cent stamps". The added marks for pauses and accents makes it clear that a phrase will be read with its intended meaning.

We are not talking a few vowels here, some older manuscripts e.g. lack key prophecies that show clear signs of having been adde after the fact. There is currently a great scholarly edition being prepared of the Hebrew Bible that traces many of the alterations:
      www.sbl-site.org/HBCE/HBCE_Method.html
The fact that there are big scholarly debates about which readings are preferred for a critical edition shows that the Torah is far from uniform if you consider all the existent textual evidence. I know a religious Jew can never accept any of these arguments because it would undermine their faith, but scholarly consensus is that Torah is a historical text like any other. You don't have to accept this of course, historical schlarship is always a matter of plausibility, never of certainty because we weren't there. It becomes a matter of faith if you want to uphold that Torah is eternal and unchangeable and that all other readings are simply unsanctioned copies or scribal notes or whatever you want to make up that kind of fits the evidence. But you shouldn't pretend like scholarly consensus supports the religious point of view because it simply doesn't.

I read the site, the method, and what documents they source. Their inclusion of the Samaritan "Torah" is a really big mistake. That is not a Torah in any stretch of the imagination. They are a different people and not Jews. They had a different Temple site. They did not follow the traditions of the scribes in maintaining the correct version of the text, and thus it became so widely erroneous that it is unrecognizable as a Torah.
There have been efforts to collect all the minute differences from all the Torah scrolls in the world, so they are sort of reinventing the wheel, doing work that had already been completed many years ago. It is called Torah Sheleimah authored by Menachem Mendel Kasher in 1927.

Just to be clear, there are WIDE and MANY difference between the other scrolls - Prophets and Writings, but NOT in the Torah itself, the five books of Moses.

maybe torah is corrupted and we can't know anything in this time of thirst for the word of yhwh. in this time of confusion and madness during exile.

It was Ptolemy II Philadelphus, who ruled
285-246 BCE who gathered *72 Jewish*
*scholars to translate the Hebrew Bible*
*into Koine Greek - the Septuagint.*
(It is mentioned in the Talmud and in
      Jewish legends)
It was considered valid by Judaism at the
time. Some of the Dead Sea scrolls are
identical to passages in the LXX ("70")
Jews began to abandon the use of the
LXX during the second century CE/AD.
Christians had, by then, adopted the
LXX. Because as time went on; most
      converts to Christianity were Greco-
Roman pagans who did not speak/
      understand Hebrew or Aramaic

@@here_we_go_again3300 The Septuagint was only a translation of the 5 books of Moses. It was not a translation of the entire Hebrew Bible. The original book was burnt. Later non-Jews translated the Hebrew Bible and called it under the same name Septuagint.

@Abraham Mani Those are lies. You caused yourself to have a vision. G-d cannot have a child. Nothing can ever equal G-d. Jesus is not the messiah because he did not fulfil any requirements. Nor is belief in the messiah a commandment in the Torah. Surely G-d can forgive who He wants to no blood required. Jesus is just an idol. It will be funny when all those who believe in Jesus will be punished for worshipping idols.

The true Messiach is Yeshua of Nazareth brother. I hope you find him before your soul's expiration. Isaiah, moses, and the prophets spoke of him. He is every letter of the Hebrew alphabet. He is .....The tetragrammaton....Behold the hand, Behold the nail...Halleluyah!

Tora Is nor corrupted. However quite often misinterpreted by the rabbis. They are often locked into 500 years explanation of an expression like “don’t cook the kid in its mother milk” and unable to see it in light of modern facts and knowledge that was NOT available 500 years ago. Thus gmarah, Mishnah, Talmud quite often are are incorrect. In fact it became more of a common law scenario, where we are relying on a precedent, rather then on Tora. The danger of continuing relying on the old interpretations is that Judaism is turning into a cult rather an enlightened religion.

Why do we find parallels to other religions in the Torah, (Egypt, e.g., circumcision, Ark of the Covenant, Messiah,) all these are Egyptian concepts and ... Ezra re-wrote the Torah under the supervision of the King of Persia.
Why do we find parallels to Zoroastrianism?
    Research it.

Read the Gospel of John, chapter 1. God's Truth, the divine Logos is hidden in every human heart. Every culture has some insight into God's Truth though is not able to fully comprehend it. Jesus came as the Incarnate Logos to reveal the fullness of God's Truth to humanity.

      1. Why would the King of Persia be interested in the Torah which is a Jewish book?
      2. Why would the King of Persia be interested in rewriting the Torah which is a Jewish book?
      3. The Torah forbids anyone from adding or subtracting to it therefore the Jews would have rejected a rewritten Torah. Isaiah knows this so he would never agree to rewrite the Torah because the Jewish people would reject it. If such a thing happened we would know about it because of the upset it would cause so I think we can discount that idea.

@Polako Polakovic Thank you Polako, The word Pharisees is the word used by the Romans 2000 years ago to describe the Orthodox Jews You are correct to say it is not a Jewish word. It is like the word Gentile used by the Romans to describe non Jews . Gentile is also not a Jewish word. The Romans used many non Jewish words 2000 years ago to describe things about Judaism.
