Often I'm unable to hear much tonal distinction via an online site. This is the first time I've discerned an enhanced tone in the better violins. Thank you.
In my opinion, I actually like the italian violin more than your main violin. I'm sure my opinion would change if I heard them both in person, but through the microphone I actually like the italian one more.
It really is such a beautiful violin! I don’t love how it sounds under my ear though. It’s very loud and bright and I much prefer the more mellow sound of the other.
Great video and playing. You should mention that the CodaBows are carbon fiber, and not wood, and also you should show off the backs of the violins, bc that it the pretty/fancy side people like seeing. And read or show the labels inside the violins….. saying it’s an Italian violin doesn’t say much, if there is a maker and year labeled inside. Are they antique, are they modern? People want to know
Nice! Thanks for sharing your collection. Fix the stainer. Put some Dominants on it. :) The challenge with having many violins is keeping them all in playable state. Even without playing them, I have to change the strings at most every two years. The daily ones every 6 months to a year. That is $300-$600 worth of strings. :( I have 5 violins and a viola.
Karolina Protsenko bought a new violin several months ago. It was a Carl Becker 1937 and cost $45k. I would love to see how yours compares with hers. Actually, I would like to see a comparison against the Italian violin too. I really like that one as well. It's surprising how the two of you approach ownership in the same way. She looked for a couple of years before choosing the Becker. She was also very happy with her $3,000 violin and preferred that over those she was trying out that were somewhat more expensive. Next up, I'll have to watch you play:-)
@@Corrietheviolinist - Corrie, I've been thinking about this since I made my comment. If you don't know Karolina she is now a 15 year old contemporary and classical violinist who began as a busker in Santa Monica at age 8 or 9. There is away to do a comparison of the 3 violins. I'll include below and encore performance Karolina gave with the Nova LA orchestra using the Becker. I don't think the sound recording is the best but the performance is excellent. On three channels she has more than 10m subs. So that could help. th-cam.com/video/H_ZAHjFCrjA/w-d-xo.html
Hi Corrie,I have a CODA bow.Its the Diamond model, love it,it's great. What make is the violin you use on most if your videos and where did you purchase that gorgeous instrument?
Most of my videos I’m using the Louis Carpini violin from Kennedy Violins. I didn’t mention it in this video since it’s a more recent violin. Love coda bows!!!
Thanks for showing us these. Personally, I don’t want this many. I’m happy with my cheap student violin, which has good volume, sustain, and tone. Someday I may want a nicer bow.
@@nickiemcnichols5397 I wish I could! It would be such a cool looking wall!! Changing weather can wreak havoc on violins and completely destroy them so I keep them all in humidity-controlled cases.
I think that’s great to know your body and opt for a slightly smaller instrument! I have an older student who also plays a 7/8ths and loves it! She has such better control over the instrument because she’s not constantly trying to compensate for smaller hands. 🙌
@@Corrietheviolinist oh I know I can't wait I am getting it from a place called fiddlershop that is in pompano Beach Florida have you heard about them?

So awesome!!
Love that Concerto No. 3 by Mozart! Decent!
yessss
Yeah I love Coda Bows too. They have really nice bows, especially Carbon Fiber!
Yessss!! They ONLY make carbon fiber!! The best.

The Italian is my favorite too.
The electric violin is the worst one the rone is very cold tone
@@itzikovadia851 It's supposed to be plugged in and then you can add in reverb, warmth, etc...

Labels don’t mean much, they’re easy to fake. Getting a violin examined by a luthier will tell more about who built it.
Thank you so much for sharing your violins and bows collection. Now I know which bow to get once my daughter gets to a mature age.
I love 💘 the white violin
I kkowwww me too. I just wish it sounded prettier 🥹

Mozart Concerto No 3 first movement
Thanks, great information,it answered my questions, you play very well, what weight is your favorite bow,and how old are your violins?
I'm not totally sure the weight of the bow. The violins are all made in different years.

I ❤ all your violin's, so nice
And iam also having 3 violin's only and I love to buy a Italy violin i don't know it's possible or not
For sure!!
Your 20k is too dark, the 12k Italian one sounds better imo, it'll project better over an orchestra too.
Yes I LOVE the darker sound of it!! The yellow one is almost too loud and brassy under my ear.
U didn’t say which is the violin maker of your favourite violin 😢
It’s an Italian maker from 2004!
Daniel Vargas
Is it me or is it that red/cherry coloured violin never findable 🧐
