Is there a way to give everyone individual roles? I’m on a server where people can pick the color of their names and the admins and mods can assign them a role of that color, but at the same time they have other roles, so what determines which role is your name color? Sorry if this is a confusing question

Don't you think calling it as a private server is a gimmicky term. It's just another chatroom where you can add ya friends to chat/talk/play music basically. Private server is what where you have SSH controls and can get in the root directory, install files, ftp etc.
I don't know of any bots that can do that for you, the most I've seen a bot do is auto assign roles. But if you need to make your own channels for roles 13:36

I think most people will agree that Discord has one of the most badly designed user interfaces when compared to other voip software. Recently it's been muting all game sounds even when mic and attenuation is off. Some fairly serious and annoying bugs. I had to uninstall Discord to repair sound on my system after latest update. There is still no plugin support and no customizable military mic click sounds effects. So our entire gaming group are now dumping Discord - we've had enough of these issues - after almost every single update. When it works it works quite well - but it's just not worth the hassle in our opinion.
