U should keep the pivot offset on the whole time actually. U will be able to make turns faster and smoother. Although remember to use it with continuous smooth thingy.

Chainlifts and boosters are what bring the roller coaster up the hill. If you make an uphill and there’s nothing to pull it up, the ride will simply fail.
