- Going to the north is convenient especially with the completion of the TPLEX towards La Union. The northern Luzon road network system connecting National Capital Region to the northern provinces of Ilocos region. This road network in Luzon is composed of NLEX (North Luzon Expressway), SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway) and TPLEX (Tarlac Pangasinan La Union Expressway).
Total km : approximately 200+km toll road
New interchange and exits opened for NLEX-SCTEX, new road networks are connected to SCTEX too via the CLLEX (to be announced opening date)
TPLEX is now complete with the new section opened to the public this year, the Pozorrubio to Rosario section.
As of this documentation, there are checkpoints when i drove to the north. Please bring your pertinent ID APOR pass and essential travel.

This would definitely be a big help for traders from the south to sell their products up north and buy vegetables and other spices here on their way back. Napakamura ng mga gulay, spices at seafoods dito sa Pangasinan. Napakaraming dumadayo dito sa lugar namin para bumili ng mga kalakal at ibenta pagbalik sa kani-kanilang lugar, dito kasi nagkakasalubungan mga kalakal galing Baguio, Isabela, mga seafoods galing Dagupan at asin saka Bagoong galing Lingayen. Yes and the middleman gets the most profits. The amount of patong they put on top pf vegetables (much more expensive than red meat) eh kahiya hiya. I do hope one day, we won't need vegetables from anywhere else as we learn to plant them ourselves.

@@Mr.DMac123 It was in 2005 when SCTEx started its construction kaso hanggang Tarlac lang so by the following year 2006 nilobby na ng congressmen from North Luzon sa pamamagitan ng House Bill 5749 na iextend hanggang Rosario, La Union kaya nagkaroon ng TPLEx. Jan.2010 pa lang nagstart ang construction ng TPLEx so PGMA pa lang start na ng Phase 1. Phase 2 sa PNoy admin, Phase 3 PDu30 admin na idederetso na to San Fernando,LU eventually to Laoag City.
Feasibility study, approval at start ng Phase 1during PGMA, parte ng Phase 1 and Phase 2 sa PNoy Admin. finished by PDu30 ang Phase 3. Ang Phase 4 to 5 malamang ma approved by this admin so Dilaw man o Pula higit sa lahat Pilipino tayo. Wag nanating pagtalunan. Ienjoy na lang natin bumyahe.

Actually from 54:21 is part of Nueva Ecija Already (Two Brgys.), Municipality of Cuyapo Nueva Ecija. 56:22 is Pangasinan already (because I saw the Water Tank) one of the brgy. in Municipality of Rosales Pangasinan. --by the way I'm from Tarlac and I know those places because I've been there before 😅
Seeing the greenery across SCTEX and TPLEX gives me both relaxing and oddly satisfying feeling.
I agree - the Subic part of SCTEX had such good scenery.

Mukhang mahihirapan silang gawin iyan bro! Bundok/kagubatan iyong dadaanan ng expressway kapag nagkataon. Hindi madaling magtayo ng Expressway sa isang lugar na binubuo ng mga kabundukan/kagubatan. Pagkakaalam ko pa, malapit lapit rin diyan iyong pantabangan lake/pantabangan dam. Iyong nakapalibot sa pantabangan lake ay puro bundok. Sa bandang carranglan lalo na boundary ng nueva ecija at nueva vizcaya. Mala-baguio po iyong terrain doon. Matataas iyong mga bundok doon hanggang sa pagbaba ng nueva vizcaya. Possible na magkaroon ng expressway pero mahirap gawin dahil sa terrain.

Grabe pa rin talaga naghohog ng left (fast) lane tapos less than 100kph ang takbo. Minsan mapapaisip ka kung narealize ba nilang delikado yung ginagawa nila? Nakakalungkot kasi kahit na dumami skyway/expressway sa atin kung hindi matututo mga Pilipinong gamitin ito ng maayos, masasayang din at hindi rin matutupad yung dapat nitong pagsasaayos sa trapiko.

Pero kung 100kph ang takbo justified na yun. Ano ba akala niyo sa inner lane, pang hatawan more than 100kph? Mas worse ka kung hogger ka na ng inner lane, di ka pa marunong sumunod ng speed limit.
@@MrBrentCarl Tama naman dapat pa rin sumunod sa speed limit. Delikado rin yung mga kala mo nakikipagracing, pasikot-sikot sa lane. Dapat ang inner lane talaga for overtaking kahit ano pa speed ang tinatakbo. Kung speed mo sa inner lane parehas o mas mababa pa sa mga outer lanes, dapat lumipat ka na.
Pero may leeway sa speed limit ang NLEX up to 120kph basta overtaking ang ginagawa. Sa TPLEX lang ang di ako sigurado parang wild west dun eh. Lahat lumilipad 150+ kph hahaha
@@jaspac5 taga south ako, slex palang nagamit ko eversince. tama, bawal talaga mag stay sa inner lane regardless ng speed, pang overtaking lang, same ba sa lahat ng expressway yun? parang ang sarap mag byahe.

Almost DONE, the best BUILD program ng d30 Admin. My origin is from Tarlac, 5-10 min away from NLEX. My travel time used to be: balintawaktarlac 3hrs, reduced to 1.5hrs

I love this video! It has information when you arrived on different provinces in their boundaries. It could have been better if you added more "trivia" about the towns or municipalities, fun facts... but I did really had fun with the joyride. Till the next video!

The SCTEX-TPLEX replacing MacArthur Highway reminds me of Route 66 in the US. Long-time businesses died because they were bypassed. Hope you do a MacArthur Highway joyride next, sir.
I agree that the speed limits are outdated. The point of having an expressway is being able to get to your destination as fast as possible; partly to reduce product spoilage and therefore reduce cost, having a speed limit kind of defeats the purpose. It should at least be increased or when possible, not be illegal to go over a recommended one in some portions, like the German Autobahns (130km/ph recommended speed limit).

Kakauwi lang namin kanina, balikan mula Taguig to Lingayen then back to Taguig...ang hirap nang konting pahinga. 2 days lalakarin ang travel pass for a 24 hour travel window, sakit sa katawan (1 day same petsa). Ang haba pa rin nang road construction before the Camiling proper...just info for those who will pass that road. Siyanga pala, FAIR WARNING: meron kaming inabutan na pinabalik nang mga pulis sa check point going out of SCTEX to Luisita kaya guys...if you want to travel make sure you have complete papers at hindi ito expired. Maraming salamat sa update, sir dim.
Also, the police now require an acceptance pass from the place where you will go or at the very least you need the phone number of the barangay chairman of the place where you'll go. The police coordinators will require a call from your phone to the barangay chairman and they need to be satisfied otherwise sorry ka na lang...rejected application.

The road signages look tiny and seldom, while some are hidden behind some bushes. Also noticed some differences between SCTEX and TPLEX, most notably signages indicating distance to the next exit on the TPLEX. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this video so much.

Thanks. No specific lanes for cars or depending upon the vehicle weight like in Singapore, or left most or the inner lane (right most as in case of right hand drive) as the fastest lane and you can overtake cars/vehicles even on the right as often as the driver wants.
