The way Paul is explaining playing with the student. The teacher plays, students listens and tries to copy. Or warming up, the teacher would play along with the student and then break into harmony part. My flute teacher in NYC, Harold Bennett used to do this...

Paul is also a great neighbour! I lived upstairs from him for a short while and it was joyful to hear him practising. He even leant me a flute to get me back to playing. Lovely guy.
