Thanks for reminding me about using beam beads in this way...simplest use, really, but so effective! I'd gotten some from you a while back, and forgotten to use them this way, as I'd intended.

Lot's of good info--however, I think I'll leave the multi-strand necklaces for someone else to make.... Thanks Cheri and Cynthia for sharing with us.

Thanks for the video and the wonderful ideas and inspiration! Those are some very beautiful pieces! But it would be great if the camera could get closer to Cheri when she is putting on the crimp tubes. I don't understand how the crimp tube could be semi-secure without actually crimping it. It would really help to have a second cameraman who could move in for a good close-up angle. I noticed this happening in many of your videos. I love the ArtBeads Cafe videos, but when it comes to details it's sometimes a little frustrating. Still, thank you for all the hard work. I appreciate it and seeing all the lovely necklaces and bracelets makes me itch to make something with my beads!

Hi, Irene. Thank you for the feedback. The crimp tube is not really secure before crimping, but it holds everything in place just enough to be able to test the size around your neck. If you would like more information on crimping, we have step-by-step instructions with up close photos here: www.artbeads.com/design-studio/how-to-use-a-crimp-tool/ and here's another video on the technique: www.artbeads.com/video-tutorials/crimp-tube/

@@ArtbeadsVideos Thanks for the reply. I know how to crimp, but usually I crimp with a crimp bead, not a crimp tube. Maybe that makes a difference, because I don't think a crimp bead would hold the beading wire in place! I must give it a try and find out 😄

@@IreneKiew Oh yes, I think the cylindrical shape of a crimp tube makes it easier to hold the wire in place before crimping!

Thanks ladies, beautiful pieces as always. Just one question, if I may, I understand the process of fitting the final black necklace to one’s own neck, however what would the best practice be when one is making that type of necklace for someone else, be it as a gift or to sell please? Thanks again, c u next time 😃

If they can try it on themselves, that would be ideal, but you can use yourself as a starting point or a necklace stand. I hope this helps!
