  • Taking a trip and going one bag travel with the Bellroy Transit Backpack. This bag is AMAZING!!! I have purchased everyone of my bags...nothing given to me so you are getting my real opinion on these.

Hey Ryan, great video. Were you able to put this backpack or the Pakt travel backpack underneath the seat in front of you on the plane?

Yes I have traveled several times with both this and the Pakt travel and place them under the seat every time. It can get a bit cramped for leg room if they are stuffed though.

Great review, not enough people actually pack out a bag when sort of reviewing it/showing it off. It’s so difficult to decide on a bag, what your hard earned money going to the proper bag. If you could only choose one bag between between the pakt back pack, the aer travel pack two or the bellroy transit the large, what would you choose? Do you find pakts bags features useful or gimmicky? The intent of the bag would be for one bag travel, trips ranging from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback! That is a very tough question...I absolutely love the Bellroy line, especially with both water bottle holders. That being said I don't have the largest Bellroy Transit (the plus) however based on what I do know, the Pakt seems to give you more room for gear and such. I really like the setup of the Pakt Travel bag a lot, not too gimimicky at all...I have tested the water proof pocket and that is nice as well as the small compartment for my cash stash behind the back support. As for a one bag travel perspective I think it certainly wins for space, setup, and also resiliency. The Bellroy material is nice but I have a good amount of blemishes on the outside of my transit backpack from my travels. The Pakt doesn't seem to get marked up and show as much wear...the material is not as shiny as the Bellroy either. It's a flat black (or green if you choose that color) and it holds up really well. The only thing that holds me back from the Pakt is it does not double as a daily carry very well...so when I travel with it, I typically pack a small sling, or packable pack for my daily use. Hope this helps!

@@Bowmanthebagguy Amazing reply thank you. It can get super overwhelming trying to decide where’s to spend our hard earned money. Just want to do as much research as possible. Last question, any insight on the AER travel back back?

@@Stefan-od3us Completely agree these bags are not cheap! I did a review of my AER Travel Backpack (1st generation) here th-cam.com/video/Y_oZMOdoACY/w-d-xo.html. I really like the look of the first gen with the 2 zippers on the front and I just don't like the look once they went to the one zipper on the front. That's just my personal preference. It's super durable...it can show scuffs a bit easier with the tough material but it's built like a tank! I had to look around a bit for the 1st gen. but found it pretty reasonable I believe on Poshmark. The next gen or 2 of the AER Travel backpack is very similar just a different look, most of the organization and pockets are the same. It's a great bag with a good amount of pockets and room. Also, I really don't want to muddy the waters but the other two bags I would recommend to take a look at, however I don't own any of them, I have some friends that do are the Peak Travel Bag and the Boundary Supply Errant Pack...I have heard great things on both of them from friends that travel often. Good luck with your search...the options are all very nice for sure.

@@Bowmanthebagguy yes the peak designs bag is also on the radar! I’ll have to check out the errant back pack. I’m seeing good praises on the able carry max also loool so many options. Thanks again, seems like I can’t really go wrong
