Does it hurt them when you do that or is it quite painless? It seems like a stupid question, but our cat brought in a duckling that lived, and now we're trying to determine the sex, but I don't know if this would hurt it.

Dexter, I hope u have time to read this one , I am having hard time incubating duck eggs. I fallow all the procedure of temp.99.5, then turn them 180 degrees, then once in a while spray water on them. Should I incubate them upright or side laid. I am using the little red giant incubator.
Sir thats quite a problem. But theres a solution to it. First see to it that your duck eggs are fertile. There has to be enough male ducks in your colony to ensure high fertility of eggs. Second, if spraying water on eggs didnt work i suggest that put water at at.bottom of tje i cubator for humidity. Third the eggs shall be moved regularly. There is no required positioning of the eggs though i suggest that you will move it at least twice a day.
