- Arrival to Bruce Peninsula was by a Ferry, a first time for us that we travel with our RV and our Jeep on a Ferry. The Ferry crossed part of Lake Huron, a 250 miles drive saving for us and a beautiful ride through the clear waters of Lake Huron. On our first day in Bruce Peninsula National Park we hiked the Grotto trail. We spent a lot of time in Indian Head Cove, enjoying the clear waters and the many shades of blues, as well as the rocky shore. We continued to the Grottto and further beaches, all highly recommended. This part of the park is very popular (and thus the need to reserve parking with Park Canada). However, we found that hiking early - before the crowds was very helpful and for part of the time we had some of the beaches to ourselves. We also spent some time in the town of Tobermory with its beautiful harbor, the main drag with shops, galleries and restaurants and the best - Big Tub Lighthouse. On our last day in the park, we spent the early morning in Singing Sands Beach and late evening in Little Cove. The stormy weather made both very special - beautiful and a bit mysterious.
