Local officials in Kazan, Russia, said Saturday morning that up to three kamikaze drones had hit many residential high-rises in the city. What appear to be eyewitness video recordings that show the attack and its aftermath have been released by a number of news outlets. On its own Telegram channel, the Russian Defense Ministry reported earlier Saturday that one “Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the Republic of Tatarstan,” whose capital is Kazan, had been shot down by its air defenses. The city government later cited the remarks.
