OK all, some quick clarifications from Trickfish Amplification. The HD cab weighs 74lbs not 100. The BM410 with the ferrite weighs 100 lbs.
That's pretty in line with most 410's that have that power handling capacity.
    Thanks Trickfish!!! :)

Bass Musician Magazine hey guys my mistake on The BM410HD is the next gen Big Mouth cabinet that features the new Trickfish proprietary 400W neodymium 10” drivers, 18mm void-free birch ply cabinetry and a roadworthy 16 gauge steel grille. The Ferrite to Neo transition drops the weight down from 96lbs. to highly manageable 74lbs. Due to the improved efficiency of the drivers, the MAX SPL has increased by 3db and the more forward tuning of the driver enhances intelligibility. The cabinet is rated at 1600W peak power handling.

That sounds good. What looper are you using?

Trickfish looper, with a Trickfish Bass, using a Trickfish cable, Trickfish strings, Trickfish fret wrap, Trickfish leather strap, Trickfish 10" speakers, Trickfish cap, ... it's all about Trickfish !

Thank you for making this video. Very thoughtful discussion of the amp and cabinet. I’m curious whether you kept them and where/how/how often often you use them. It’d be great to see another video, with the D.I., various styles of playing (e.g., pick, slap), and with either an assistant twiddling the knobs or the amp taking signal from your DAW instead of your looping pedal. Your pedal doesn’t reflect your bass’s clear tone well. It would also be nice to see your signal path in the video description. Thanks again.

I have an idea: how about just playing some basic grooves a bassplayer would actually play on an actual gig instead of all of this virtuoso stuff?

Thanks for your input. Steve's groove choices were to highlight the heads capabilities. You should always try something yourself before you decide if it is for you.

What exactly are the basics? It all depends on the gig.

L'ok jazz what is it about the playing here that wasn't basic..

What the hell are you going on about? He's looping. The parts he played are not difficult. That is some of the most narrow minded shit I've ever heard, too virtuoso.simple grooves are boring. The runs he did were virtuosity but the looping parts were simple.

The 11-minute demo that should have been 4 minutes long...I had to get out early - too much talking, not enough demo-ing.

Hey Steve, you’re right I could have simplified this and cut my time down, however I would probably have someone say I missed something. If you have any positive/negative specific feed back that would be awesome. I don’t do this as a job so I am still perfecting my craft with this. Cheers!
