I agree about the tape, but I don’t think you need all that muffling either. Just tune them well and if necessary use a moon gel. They are a nice set of drums and you aren’t allowing them to resonate!
moi je virerai le 10 et les ring, ça étouffe trop les toms , la caisse claire est parfaite et la grosse caisse sonne relativement grave pour une 20 , très bien pour jouer du Led Zep
This gig was an after Independence Day gig early in the morning right off the lake it’s a family park. Usually the city pays for the entertainment. But either our agent or band leader find the Gigs. Good question yes it’s a family friendly event and they usually run like 3 bands all day. 300.00 usd each. Thanks for watching 🥁

Totally agree!
The silver sealer began as a cover for imperfections in the wood early in Gretsch’s history. It’s become a trademark now.
Interesting. Thanks for the info it’s great to learn something new.
Primo those drums have always sound beast!!!! Love that kit
Thank you primo
Gretsch’s Silver Sealer. Allows resonance. They have used it forever.

Do you guys get paid for a gig like this? It looks like a place where mothers and children walk by. Genuinly interested question from Europe.

Get some Evans uv2s.
Take the rings off and open the drums up.

Yes I will be changing the bass drum head to Evan’s.🥁
