Shady, concerning your wrist i have the same issue and we discovered a kyst in my sinovial fluid that sometimes gets out. The solution for when it is chronic (i heard it comes back often for you, i've had it on and off for 15 years now, with sometimes it being intense enough that holding a spoon hurts like hell) is first to burst the kyst with a needle (by a surgeon of course) and if that doesnt work you can remove the kystic tissue from your wrist. which is slightly more invasive and thus a bit more risky

The main thing to help avoid carpal tunnel is to alternate gross motor dynamic actions with the small, fine motor of long typing/computer sessions. Go swimming. Dig a hole. Do some pushups. Squeeze a ball. Throw a ball. Throw a kid. I do lift-ups holding my kids, they can be tricep pullovers (our favorite one), bicep curls, overhead press, bench press, lateral and front raises- they have a blast and it's an excellent break to work out where I can spend time with my family instead of driving to the gym alone.
You are doing the correct thing by resting fine motor muscles. And you should also be (gently for now) building up some gross motor habits that will help you have balanced strength to perform the tasks you need. Gross motor ability better supports your fine motor muscles. This is why people who are muscular are so much better at learning new physical tasks. Age and grip strength are the best predictors of a person's level of dexterity. Work on your grip strength!

Get better soon Shady! Collins is nice but I do prefer your solo content, it showcases your humorous and joyful personality more! ^_^

Dude I've dealt with the same, but I never got to know what it is. It was mostly unbearable when I played WoW a lot, doing mythic and stuff, farming everyday. It's subsided since I stopped gaming pretty much. Best of lucks for you to recover properly!

On the bright side, we get to see Shady+Collins without Duos, and that's a treat.

      I blame Collins.
It's probably the education driving people away.
