I've been to many raves in the past 20 years... including some real technology setting ones in the past (like Qlimax, DefQon when it was fresh) but this is really next level... can't believe what I'm looking at. Spectacular!
You still always can!!! Haven't been to a show in 5 years and I'm breaking it to see him this Sunday 🥴 but I am going to be sober that I'm too old to do ha
dubstep is a genre that DJs can get really complacent in and frankly their sets can get really repetitive and boring,, but excision never ever does. every single time I see a set from him it feels fresh and new and crazy. one of my top 3 DJs absolutely.
The audio-visual accessorization of raves has come quite a ways. I would say yes this is amazing. However I remember going to see rabbit in the Moon during Mardi gras at New Orleans. The old days of bringing actual performers on the stage. Crazy suits covered in metal with grinders throwing sparks all kinds of madness. Entire bodysuits that lit up the way you think deadmau5 was inspired. Somebody who was on stage sweating for your entertainment.
@@je-freenorman7787 It's because I wanna feel the bass and go with friends. I just went to a concert last week and rewatched the snippets I recorded on my phone and it's obviously 10x better to be experiencing it in person.
@@Zinojn watch the visual experience, meet like new friends who enjoy the same music. Live in the moment and make connections with the people around you? Idk 😐
@@SilentStudioExplores the visual experience? Huh? Are you looking at the same thing I am? The visuals seem like they were created by an angsty 13 year old...

He puts so much energy and effort into this whole experimence it's a treasure. Old raves tossed ppl in a warehouse very little put into effort of visuals they just figured ohh everyone would be so high they'd dance to whatever so why bother. Well that doesn't sound as right to me like this is. Excision really cares about the whole picture the BEST sound too and all these people can tell. Much appreciated. The lasers went across the entire ceiling and side walls no ones missing the view were going nuts dancing for 5 hours and 3 nights together really were not bothered. Not one little bit even. I have the best experience attendibg Excision sets incl this one 10000 people aren't confused when they pull phones and he's so hard the intros are just extra effort he put in and a part of our experience. Those moments keep people from exhaustion. they sell out quick so if don't like it, don't worry you're too late for tickets anyway. Great line ups such a great connection with the ravers too. He's humble and puts a tremendous amount of energy into the production. His music is so good he doesn't even have to go that extra mile but it matters to him so he does it anyway 🎉❤🫶🙌respect and gratitude. If anyone doesn't like the extra mile raves now, show love and respect anyway, imo it's easier than being critical and condescending and not letting djs express their creativity for others to take in. I like it. Next X up Bass Canyon
My favorite memories are those when you drove out to some town and met a car at traintracks and they gave you a card with the address to some warehouse and you would go in with minimal lighting but tons of people adn great music. Those dimly lit warehouse parties were my favorite!
It's not a waste if that's what you've paid to go and see. Some people like to dance, some people like to experience wild visuals and sound. Each to their own.
@@billB101 No it's just a symptom of this generation. Events like this use to be a big social thing and the music was the lubricant. Now everyone is so used to just staring at phone screens and have no idea how to be social. They just stare at some DJ like he's some god on a phone screen.
@@lucid484I know, I've been a festival and club sound engineer and dance producer for 30 odd years and I disagree. Not all gigs are like this. Depends what you're after. Lol. 2009 sham mix era excision sets were fire. This is rinsed out trash. They sound nothing alike. Compare calypso and swagga to this shit and tell me they are even remotely alike

Exceptional visuals, and if it's Excision the speakers and sound quality are going to be exceptional as well. The style of music and mixing is not for me though. Still had a few good tunes in there apart from the many identical-sounding grating riddim tracks. Overall looks like a fun show.
The concert was so good that my friend with epilepsy started dancing breakdance
if ya told me I would be going to a rave concert with 10000 cameramen I would have never believed ya
It's just sad, those phone zombies are everywhere.
Gen Z Modern Day Raver. Features : Doesnt move at all. Hours of not fun
I remember going so hard . When I looked up my videos I recorded it was mainly the floor for 30 seconds lmao
I take 3 or 4 good video clips but mostly just enjoy the ride.

I first saw excision in February 2011 in a small Austin club with 50,000 watts and just a few lights and lasers. Amazing what it turned into
Did you see him play with downlink in 2011 by any chance
First saw him in 2012 in the middle of nowhere New Mexico, it’s insane to see his journey from there
i wish i could roll again. but my time has passed. hope you kids are enjoying this beast of a visual.
hahah same!
I feel you. It's a wonder I make it to the end of a show these days lol. Peepaw needs his sleep
At least drugs were safe 10 years ago.
